Not sure where you saw that she took the drug. Never mentioned that. As I recall, she said she got bit in the supermarket early on and then hid from everyone because she didn’t want to be a monster. No one would have known she was even infected if Yi Hyun hadn’t come up with a way to sort infected from noninfected persons using blood.
It’s far more reasonable and understandable anyways to believe that she was bitten vs. took the pill. She was working for an hourly wage, desperately in need of money, and had sucky parents (all referenced in her numerous conversations with the sloth-like idiot from 301). I doubt she had the funds to purchase the pill in the first place. Makes it far more likely she was bitten.
I also seem to recall that she had said she got scratched, or I guess bitten, while working at the market.
Because you know you miss it!!!
I really thought that girl, and the rest of the ppl. that got infected at the end, did so, with the water that jerk from room 601? (wife murderer) prepared, and was making sure everyone drink from it, during their meal time.
A scratch is another way to get infected; unless like FL you are immune to the virus. This drama really did a number on confusing the viewers as to how some ppl got infected with the virus. To see a person applying a cream: What was the purpose of that ‘‘flashback’’ scene?
Another scene that completely turned me off, and made me stop watching for a while was; that the guy at the Hotel room ‘‘ate’’ the guy from room service, and the cop [ML] finds him under the bed, and killer later on is sitting down in the bed: NO HANDCUFF on him, full of blood with a corpse at his feet and the ‘‘cop’’ is talking to him nonchalant, like he didn’t do anything, although he’s bathe in the victim’s blood. Total #1 drama of: chicken without a head, going around in circle…and not getting anywhere.
Another thing, the horrible, destructive virus at end of story in [DARK HOLE] disappears by magic, and in the comment I read in this drama [HAPPINESS] the virus also dies down. I can’t even picture a happy ending in a drama where so many people suffered, and you could say had a painful/humiliating death just to have this virus disappeared with no logical explanation.
I miss it too. I see Goodbye gifs and posts and pictures all over Facebook on the drama channels I follow. They act like the characters died or something! Ha!
I start Search today. Hoping to fill the voice somehow.
Also looking into Jirisan with Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun. It seems to get pretty good reviews.
Feeling a little down because my happiness is missing this weekend. wink, wink
I’m trying to determine if these gifs help me or just make me need to rewatch all 12 eps.
Actually what I should do instead of watching K-dramas is to grade some of these essays…because, ya know, “adult-ness”.

Um…I’ve started watching SEARCH.
Thank you to the person who suggested this! (I couldn’t remember who it was so I’m just tagging the three of you cause I know it was someone. LOLs.) I’m eternally grateful. It’s horrific and creepy and full of stifling cover-ups. YESSS! happy dance time One episode in and I’m already hooked. It’s making my HAPPINESS depression go away with the sound of snarling teeth.
Yep, @kdrama2020ali and I watched it together. We loved it! It kept you on your toes and in suspense and will throw you curve balls. That drama is also really good at cliffhangers. It’s great. Glad you are enjoying it!
Did you like the ending of SEARCH? I saw it a long time ago twice bc it left a few questions (to me/myself and I), but in the end, they were left unanswered too.
PS I thought it was going to have a part 2 but so far nothing yet.
I don’t remember all the details of the ending, but I was not left feeling unsatisfied, so I guess they must have answered everything to my satisfaction.
THIS IS A BIG SPOILER FOR SEARCH DON’T READ IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCH YET
Summary
The finale episode was indeed painful. I knew it that it’s impossible to watch a good military drama expecting no fatalities from the characters. I did not expect Captain Song Min Gyu and Lee Joon Sung to die so it broke my heart because they’ve become my favorites in this show. But their deaths; Min Gyu dies because of his desire to survive all the way, but he didn’t. Meanwhile, Joon Sung died for his honor. I never found out why North korea created that and for what country specifically. SK? USA? All over the world?
Another thing I forgot the romance couple; we never know in the end, if they will stay together although there is a hint that is not much to rave about. Also the ones infected how will they get cured. The child left without his father…why? couldn’t they choose someone else to die instead of him? ughhhhhhhhhh I stay angry for days.
Yes, but the pills he thought were NEXT turned out to be the vitamin that Yi Hyun switched them with – remember they showed a flashback of him going out to the car and switching the pills, because he knew that Jerkface in 601 was going to go after them?
Thanks for the info. Great to know there was a twist to that part. I guess I’ll watch it again not soon though, but will start from beginning to end, and hopefully find out the rest of the story. I think the turn off for me is that I watched [Dark Hole] that had many similarities, and the ending was not to my satisfaction so I don’t want to go through the same thing with [Happiness] and feel upset about it for days. lol
The ‘‘chair throne like’’ seems to me as such a disrespect; like if the guy felt he was GOD himself. In the end, the throne was left vacant…and no second part to see who sits on it next.
Not that the drama deserves a second part either, but that’s me/myself and I opinion. I hope the ML gets a better role/ offer with a role that can meet the high standards he so much deserves. He was too GOOD for this role and I felt this role was not good enough for him bc he is that good of an actor. Some people just see the actor’s FACE. I always see the ACTOR and the qualities they have that deserves better.
All do respect - I know we have talked about how we all have different opinions! And that is so good for drama world because it makes the world go round. I don’t see the throne as disrespectful - I didn’t even see it the way you did. (I use it as my throne as Hottie Posse Overlord @sweetybirdtoo thank you). The original owner of the penthouse had it installed and I saw it like he was Master of his domain - King of his castle. So Andrew’s character I actually loved - thought the actor did a great job! And I saw this as him “taking over.”
As for Park Hyung Sik - Out of all of his dramas to date - I think Happiness is going to catapult him into more and more roles - he showed such diversity and strength in this role - it really challenged him. It was the BEST comeback after the military he could have chosen. As an actor, I respect his choices and know that he puts his heart and soul into everything that he does! I don’t just see Park Hyung Sik as a pretty face! He changed his look, his walk, his mannerisms, his bulk for this role! Action is definitely his genre!!! As well as Romance! - BRAVO I think for him to see what a success that the show would be in dramaland!
