Good idea to move it to a new post

I just heard that you don’t need the biometrical passport at any border, you just need papers that identify you as a Ukrainian, children without papers can be registered with their birth certificate.

P.S. Hungary’s prime minister said they led people in even without documents, they would provide them with some, and they would in addition let people with other nationalities in. That is a huge change to see in Hungary’s way to care about refugees in general.

I am happy to confirm that my country, Romania, is also prepared to receive Ukrainian refugees.

It’s such a horrible situation. As if this pandemic wasn’t enough, now we’re being bullied by a despotic warmonger who seems unstoppable… How can one man hold so much power? How? :sob:

I saw a video post where the airport was blown up, and a local recording the planes bombing in their area.

I received this devotion, and share it here as a prayer.

By Invitation Only

Today’s Scripture

“When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2, NLT

TODAY’S WORD

When you face adversity, is your typical prayer, “God, get me out of this”? There’s nothing wrong with that prayer, but before you get out, you have to invite God in. Sometimes the miracle is in what God wants to do in the situation. Why don’t you start praying, “God, come into this hospital room, come into this troubled relationship, come into this anxiety”? More powerful than God bringing you out is when He comes in and gives you favor despite who’s trying to push you down. He comes in and gives you strength you can’t explain. He comes in and gives you the grace to outlast the challenge.

In today’s Scripture, God says that although adversities are going to come, He will be with you in them. Are you trying to get out of the fire God is going to take you through? Are you fighting the fire, wondering why it happened? Everything will change if you start inviting God in. He promised He’ll be with you; maybe He’s just waiting for your invitation.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me through life’s fires. I know that You’re here with me now, and I invite You into every challenging situation in my life. Help me to grow through it, to increase my faith, to let my character come up higher. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Good morning and do have yourself a triumphant Thursday and may God bless you more abundantly!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

Please allow me to post something equally encouraging:

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream. I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.

When the last scene of my life shot before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma.

“Lord, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I’m aware that during the most troublesome times of my life, there is only one set of footprints. I just don’t understand why, when I need You most, You leave me.”

He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you.”

Thank you all very much for these words! In fact, we have very few airports left that have not yet been bombed.

We have a very big problem with saboteurs, all cities have special marks for bombing. These marks are on roads, houses, trees. We periodically inspect the area for any signs and remove them. There are looters in the houses.

We really don’t need any documents to cross the border, just an ordinary internal passport of a citizen of Ukraine is enough, which is issued only in Ukrainian, older models of passports, like mine, have Russian version too. I mean there’s no English version, there’s no Latin letters, only Cyrillic.

All borders also made a pedestrian crossing, previously this opportunity was only at one border crossing. Now there is such an opportunity in every border crossing.

It’s not that he is unstoppable it’s that if the others involve yet it’ll be like oil into fire and might cause a total war in Europe or even global again. That’s why the other EU(ropean) countries send goods, weapons and help refugees but don’t attack yet.

Yeah that also makes things complicated. As the EU we can’t do all sanctions and block Putin from all sides because then we have a problem as well. And you don’t want to harm innocent people.

We can only hope this mess will end soon, nobody wants a war, and try to help the refugees as much as we can so they are safe.

I heard yesterday that the red cross is trying their best to help people but they have been cut off sometimes and caught in the middle.

Thank you to those who support our Ukraine, even with their own problems. At the same time, European leaders say that if Putin is not stopped, he will attack other European countries. There are many articles on the internet about this. For example https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/baltics-ukraine-russia-attack-1.6362634

Hopefully those high rank politicians (of Russia), who are against this kind of outcome, interfere.

Germany prepares free trains to pick up refugees from Poland.

@lutra
I can send you a photo from our train station. People can’t get on trains because there is no space, they throw out suitcases so that others can get on. People are standing in several rows, in the vestibule of the train, at the door.
There are a huge number of people at our train station, people are putting up tents right now.
I know that this train to Poland stood at the border for more than 10 hours yesterday.

The train is free from my hometown to Poland. My hometown is Lviv. There is a free train from Chop town to the Czech Republic, and a train to Budapest and Vienna has been announced. There is also a local train to the Hungarian city ZĂĄhony from Mukachevo city.

I saw it on TV, I can’t remember what town it was in the Ukraine. The trains leave irregularly, so people wait till it is their turn.
I can’t tell when the first train from Poland to Germany will be available. Poland said they expect not too many people willing to leave the area closer to the Ukraine, because most of them have family or friends in Poland they can stay, even strangers offer their houses. Most of the people leaving for Germany are those who neither have family left in the Ukraine nor have hope that this situation will be solved anytime soon.

*** Just got the information that Ukraine refugees can use German (DB- Deutsche Bahn) long distance trains from Poland to Berlin for free, they only need to show their IDs/passports.
Free riding for Ukrainians as well on trains in Poland/ Czech Republic and Slovakia. (Based on what I read from the RND in Germany).

P.S. I am not even close to Berlin - I live about 700 km in the Southwest of Germany - my guess is people will be relocated from Berlin, that means if someone chooses to come to Germany. There are already cities who prepare. If you have good English (or even German) language knowledge, you could help translate. However, I expect Ukrainians living in multiple places and offering their help.

However, wherever you or anyone else is on their way, stay safe!

Thank you very much for this information!! I didn’t know that.

I can’t stay where I am now anymore, so I’m going back. For now, I want to help our people, so today and tomorrow I don’t plan to go abroad. Maybe the day after tomorrow, if there is a serious danger.

Berlin has 13 000 Ukrains living there.

The protests today are with both Russian speakers and Ukrains and other countries

And here it’s written that Russian soldiers desert

I know, I was thinking of the places the refugees will be relocated to, since I don’t expect that all refugees from the Ukraine will be staying in Berlin.
Even in my compared small town to Berlin, they managed to have a demonstration of 300 people just in one day.
