Does anyone know how I can join a project as a subtitler. I am a English to German subtitler and would like to take part in a project. I looked at the project finder and scrolled through the results but after I looked into the teams on the drama pages I saw that they only recruited experienced people (5000-25000 contributions) or they already finished (100 % DE subtitles) but are still listed in the project finder. How can I contribute subtitles as a starter or can find projects that allow me to participate.

Das ist nicht mehr so einfach wie früher. Heutzutage brauchst du immer einen Mod, man darf nicht mehr ohne anfangen zu übersetzen oder am besten “besuchst” du auch gleich die Deutsche Akademie
Sie ist kein Muss und wir alten Hasen waren da auch nie, aber meld dich doch einfach mal an

Habe ich jetzt gemacht. Dankeschön. Wo oder wie wird man benachrichtigt, wann der Kurs startet? Oder wo könnte ich es herausfinden?

Das kann ich dir nicht sagen, da ich nie da war. Aber ich hab es an die “Chefin” weitergeleitet.

In France (and I suppose it’s the same in Germny) to find a project, you search in the Viki site in “categories” and then “new. coming soon”
Then, when you see there is a moderator chosen, you write to her for joining the team.
All the subtitles seem to be already done because now, the dramas arrive already translated by an AI.
But there still many problems and faults. So, now we don’t translate anymore, but we are just editing those AI made ones… Less fun than before…
