Excellent! I hope Santa will pay me a visit this year! Lol!
Thanks, I’m in the Netherlands and have also this problem. I’ve used several browsers and now I’m stuck with Microsoft Edge (not my favorite) because all other browser such as Brave, DuckDuckGo, Chrome doesn’t work for the full 100%. There are several flaws when I use these from not being able editing to whatever.
However the solution must come from the VIKI website and not my system. I’m alway working in the Bulk translation that is more convenient for me.
Anyway, thanks for the location solution.
What do you not like about it?
It’s Microsoft and that is the big issue.
My computer recently crashed and I got a new one, I switched from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and now the Team Discussion is gone, too. Usually I work with Chrome, but I have the same problem with Edge and Opera. So, I have to use VPN everytime I want to look for released episodes in the Team Discussion. I don’t think that’s a bug it seems to be a problem with Windows 11.
It’s not a windows 11 problem. I recently changed my windows computer to a mac, and I have the same. Viki staff also told me that this is a known bug, after a gave them a ticket. As others wrote above, there is a problem with the cookie settings, that is why more and more ppl doesn’t have TD. You have to notify the CM, to create a chat where s/he can notify everyone regarding the ready episodes. I already have some channel where the CM does this, and that solution work fine.
@brendas can you please do something? It’s annoying not to see the team discussion. How can I see which part was taken as segmenter and where I can start to segment. and I can’t also see when the CE gave the go to translate episodes…
And i am certainly not the only one who has this prob. And it doesn’t matter if I am on my phone or an computer (I have 2 laptops and nowhere it works).
It’s still working with Windows 10, but not with Windows 11. I need VPN to have access to the TD.
Hello! It is indeed frustrating. I’ve been in your shoes. The only solution is the VPN connection, BUT with an American location. I use Oregon. Good luck and Happy New Year!
I have no VPN and I won’t buy one. And the free ones are…
If you have Norton for example you might have it in your subscription (i know that thanks to another contributer). That said it would be better if Viki fixed instead of people looking for their own solutions.
Don’t have this and like you said, it would be nice if Viki finds a solution
Ι use Opera browser’s incorporated VPN to check Team Discussion and/or comments, but then I have to turn it back off, because it slows my connection down quite a lot and I cannot work on Subtitle Editor properly.
It’s been a while since people are having this problem and I wasn’t concerned. And this morning just to well finish this year, I have this issue. I’m in France and working on a Mac (no VPN used). I can’t no more read the team discussion on my computer. It’s the first time for me on it. Last time I had this problem (a year ago), I’ve logged off, logged in, passed on my profile, accepted those cookies, then it was again disponible. I’ve tried it today but it didn’t changed anything. As an OL moderator (French), we all need this team discussion in order to not slow our translations > lol and before viki “release its viki staff” to “help us” finish our project. Is there anything new here on viki to help us ? NB : I’m having this issue on my phone since months…
Also it’s just a problem just we Europeans have. ?
Same problem on my side, the team discussion has disappeared.
I’m still unable to see it. Cookies are not blocked so I don’t understand. I think tat I’ll try some VPN, if somebody has one to recommend… Feel free to tell me here.
Team Discussion disappeared since 1 month for me now…
I was forced to use my phone for my project as CS to see my team’s messages and write in it while working on it, for 4-5 weeks. It’s been tiring.
I tried with a vpn in the US and it reappeared.
Which VPN please
