Hello everyone!
We are all grieving the loss of Beverley, so many might think appointing a new moderator for the Segmenting academy is too soon. But when we got the news about our beloved leader not being with us, the temporary leadership we had ended (Hana/hana_860 had been temporarily responsible whilst informing me and Grace/grace_g). If someone would have told me that I would be the one stepping in instead of Beverley’s as the moderator of the segmenting academy I wouldn’t have imagined it, because until Monday I thought she was coming back. I know I can’t replace Beverley, I am not her, but I will do my best to help out and support the community.

We all know Beverley meant so much to this academy, and no one could ever replace her. But I truly believe she’d be proud to see you stepping up.
If anyone can handle this with kindness and strength, it’s you.

You will be a good and worthy successor. You will master your task, just as you have mastered everything else at Viki and in your life so far.

BJW was one of my sensei when I went through the segging academy, she was such a kind and wonderful person. After graduation, she would always let me work on one of her segging teams, she was always welcoming and I truly felt I was one of her “team members”, she will be greatly missed. 
I know @maria_lavendula_77 will be a great Chief Segging Moderator. She too always welcomed me to work with her, she is a very kind, patient and caring person. I know this by the way she takes care of her furry friends! Congratulations on becoming the NSSA Segging Moderator! So happy for you Maria!

@maria_lavendula_77 This is going to hurt for awhile. I’m sure Beverly would be very proud knowing you got the role. We will miss her and think about her in many ways. Thank you for being the new leader, for you will do an amazing job.

Don’t overthink or beat yourself up. I’m sure no one (in the Viki fam) expects you to “replace” Bev (RIP). But we/I know and trust your conviction and passion.

Thank you for stepping into this major role. I can’t think of a better person to take over the Segmenting academy reigns. I know you’ll lead with the same kindness, generosity, compassion, and willingness to help that Beverley was so well known for. This wonderful community is supporting you every step of the way. Thank you everyone! I’m very Nordic and the Law of Jante is always a part of me but, I have gotten so many nice messages and to and comments in threads. I’m really happy that I can do this and I hope more people feel welcome to join our community because it’s very loving and welcoming to anyone.
