I just finished this. It was lovely and a mostly easy watch. It has 10 episodes of about an hour each.

I don’t recall anyone mentioning this drama 4 episodes, 4-4,5 hrs of drama. Others might fill 12-16 episode with such a story, but boy this little thing really took me by surprise. At first, you might glance over it and say, yeah, I saw stories like this before, but seriously, this drama takes off layer after layer from the FL’s life and her soul. There has been so much damage done to this young woman, and that is what she wants to give back to society and people she thinks are responsible for that misery of her own life. The more she wants to push people out of her world, she suddenly feels that they become part of her life and somehow the plan she made about taking revenge gets out of control …
Although it isn’t per se a funny story, it is funny at points to see her fighting with herself, when life happens while she is busy making plans.
P.S.: I can’t say if all the music was changed but in ep 3 you get to see lyrics, and the funny thing is after two lines I was singing that song since I knew it from my younger days, well my mid 20s. The time Brit Pop was the thing and yeah I liked that snobby kind of music style. It sounded as rebellious as the FL.

I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have found this little hidden gem if I wasn’t invited to work on it as GE. The reason I accepted was because I had just finished watching My Husky Boyfriend - I loved ML Ryan Cheng’s expressions and acting talent, so I wanted to watch him again. Safe to say, he just keeps flooring me. I’m interested to see how he grows in his career.
It’s short but fast-paced, mixing action, mystery, romance and comedy. I loved the cinematography, costumes and styling. Everything was very pretty, and the actors were convincing. I especially loved the little child actor and her character. It was nice to see a child who wasn’t a spoilt brat - she was adorable and a little too smart for her age XD
It’s funny and very unexpectedly chemistry-filled, fiery and romantic(I really wanted to Watch Party this with the members of the NSFW Hottie Posse thread lol it is a PERFECT swoon fest). I loved that the ML and FL really trusted each other with no misunderstandings. I loved the fact that the ML was smart enough to unravel mysteries and also trusted FL enough to fill in the missing pieces and believe in her even when there was no evidence to support it. He surprised me multiple times.
10/10 would recommend as a cute short filler with a little action and mystery, but no real angst between the leads. It was always a supportive relationship from start to end.

Sadly, not really because it’s bedtime, but it will be high on my list. Main couples with no real romantic angst are like unicorns or my holy grail.

I second your recommendation for “A Familiar Stranger”! I just finished it and what a great mini drama! Engaging plot, Fast paced, great acting and directing, production values. I loved that both female leads were intelligent and resourceful. Agree with you on the OTP relationship. So refreshing to have an OTP relationship NOT filled with misunderstandings and the like. And some very nice kiss scenes.
Truly a “hidden gem” for 2022. I hope that Viki can get the mini drama “The Killer Is Also Romantic” which is by the same director.

It’s not really a short drama, since it is a J-drama it wasn’t ment to be longer.
This was a fun and cute Jdrama - short with only 9 episodes of roughly 30 minutes each. The ML has some really fun facial expressions, especially during the many times when his “dialogue” is all in his head.

A Chinese drama under this topic, is it even possible? It is 8 episodes full amount of time needed roughly 3 hours.
If you need some distraction after watching a long drama, this might be something for you. No body swap but a face swap, be ready for a fun watch, if you are familiar with my preferences you might know that this isn’t my favorite trope anyway I enjoyed it and appreciated the short duration.
What to do, it was already posted normally there is that annoying warning, about somebody already … When you need it, it doesn’t work.

Found another one, I don’t know why it gives me French vibes, maybe because the ML is an antihero at first glance. I have not finished it yet, but it seems entertaining in its own weird way.

No post about this one yet? Okay, here we go, nothing new under the sun, but quite entertaining, if you are looking for something short, with a bit of thrill and drama on the side, family business, inheritance debate, revenge and what not. This drama pretty much has it all and an alpha-male as lead who breaks down crying, we don’t get to see that as often, maybe the Korean “Secret” with Ji Sung had it, … By Chinese standard one of the shortest you will get to see, 24 eps all in all roughly 12 hours needed. For the rainy weekend or the need of a filler for some distraction.

You want a short Chinese drama? How about this one with only 7, ~30-min. eps! Now that is short. I started and finished yesterday. It’s not going to blow your socks off, but I enjoyed it.

No alarm, so no one recommended it here, I did not rate it as high, as most of the people here on Viki have, but if you are feeling sick, you have to lay down, or you can’t leave the house because the weather is bad. Then give it a try, it is really short, it might be the shortest C-drama in the entire collection!

Oh, again, no one?
I really liked this one, as someone who lost people dear to me in the past year, this drama had some kind of “cleaning” effect on me.
It’s endearing and mindful, at least that’s what it was for me. Didn’t feel any triggers even the topics of death and the circle of life were all over the drama, from losing your parent, your child, your spouse, maybe you will keep that in mind, before starting it …

Almost forgot, there was another short drama I recently watched:
For me, it is a little gem, as I like unusual characters, those who like to forsake the standards of society and don’t bend just because they are told they should.
I like the mom and daughter package, they seem odd, but at some point you wished to be just like them. Accept the people that are good to you and discard those who are not at least in your private life, as for work there is always some kind of compromise you need to make, or don’t you? I enjoyed it, I hope you will like it too if you give it a try!

No, not either …
One could be dismissive about the topic, but hey, for one, you won’t see a piece of skin you are not supposed to. Even intimate scenes, which are not many, and show nothing, so if that would be keeping you from the drama, there is no reason.
All in all the drama is about self-esteem, self-awareness, confidence and courage … With what I would describe beautifully written characters.

I would like to recommend a K-drama that’s been out for a year or two, Remarriage & Desires. It’s on another streaming service (It’s on the poster below) but I’ve watched it twice now and I thought it was pretty darned good. Short, only 8 episodes so you could probably binge it in a day or so.
