I’ve known people like that. Years ago I had to take my older sister to the mobile cellphone company store in my city, across the ocean from her home city, to get her a phone and put her on my account. For years she just used the phone to phone and nothing more. Then she discovered text messaging! But even though she owned a cell phone for the last several years of her life, she never mastered the camera on the phone. She was extremely intelligent, owned and ran a tax preparation service and did all sorts of tax returns on a computer with very sophisticated software. But she seemed to have blinders on when it came to cell phone functions or using the computer for anything other than writing letters or doing tax returns. Eventually she learned she could buy stuff from Amazon rather than calling me, 2400 miles away, to order something to be delivered to her!
