I’m sorry to hear that you are having a day of doubt, questioning your place within the community. And I’m sorry that people aren’t willing to give you a chance to make a contribution. I think they are missing out on a valuable resource. Your contributions here in discussions clearly show that you have the desire and know-how. We will miss you around here, but I understand the need to step away for a while. Stay healthy and happy, and I hope to see you around again soon.
I’m sorry that you are having a bad time with mods not giving you a chance. I feel for you and you are not alone as I have heard others talk about the frustrations of trying to volunteer at Viki. We all know volunteers are desperately needed (especially competent ones like yourself) yet there seems to be a kind of closed mentality about it, which is very unfortunate. I understand where you are coming from about needing a break, but I just want to assure you that you do matter and I have enjoyed your thoughtful contributions to this forum. I will miss your input and I will look forward to your return. Take care of yourself!
Aw @entwyfhasbeenfound just know you are loved by us folks here in Segue in Badges in Hottie Posse and Baby Bird - Terrible Pick Up Lines etc etc. We will miss you but I understand. I have taken a ■■■■■■■■ hiatus somewhat because I really have nothing to say anymore. No one wants to hear anyone’s opinion it gets explosive. We will miss you but please come back soon and know that we will MISS YOU!!!

From what you say it does look like this album was just a quick “filler” to help keep EXO in the public eye since the group is in the middle of the various members on hiatus for military service. Hopefully their next album will be better for you.
OK, so I am going to vent now:
I think I mentioned before that I like to watch Immortal Songs music variety show, but I am so frustrated by the fact that Kocowa (or KBS or whomever) is not providing English subtitles for the lyrics to the songs! The older episodes from past years do have subtitles for the entire show, including the lyrics to all of the songs featured, so I do not understand why they stopped providing subs for the songs as it is a music program. They are providing subtitles for everything else, why not the songs? Immortal Songs is a show that features older songs and composers, classic standards and other music genres outside of idol music. The vast majority of the international audience is unfamiliar with the songs featured so it would be so very nice to have the subs for them to be able to learn and fully enjoy the performances.
I just watched Ep. 510 and there were some amazing stages, particularly by Lee Hee Moon, who was doing a rendition of PSY’s Napal Baji. The song is noted for its funny and witty lyrics but I was not able to fully enjoy the performance like the studio audience did because no subs. I looked at PSY’s official video but it is not subbed either. So frustrating!
That’s really unfortunate. I wonder why the change? It’s strange, because lyrics of OSTs are almost always subbed in regular old dramas, so why not have them subbed in an actual musical program?

Have you guys ever watched Lee Dong Wook’s Talk Show - he is So FuNNY and when Gong Yoo shows up EVEN Funnier! ![]()
I’m having a Wook-zie kinda day with LDW
Yes. In fact, some of the older episodes of some of the “music chart” shows like Music Bank and Music Core have subs for all of the songs as well and then they just quit and only sub the speaking parts of the MCs. If you watch older episodes of Yee Heol’s Sketchbook they sub everything including lyrics
I don’t know why they stopped subbing the songs. I’m guessing because it saves time. But it doesn’t make sense to me since providing subs for all of the songs would help promote the show, the performers, and the songs so you would think that all of the Agencies would want complete subs because it would boost awareness and sales. For shows like Music Core and Music Bank I can see why they stop subbing the songs since viewers can usually find subs at the official music videos on YT now. (Although still frustrating) However for a show like Immortal Songs where the majority of the songs do not have subbed MVs I really do not understand why. I enjoy Immortal Songs because they have singers and performers from many different musical genres that we international viewers do not get exposed to since the majority of music exported is Idol Music. Lee Hee Moon is a traditional folk singer but he mixes it up by using folk songs with rock, disco and other forms. For the PSY performance he did opposite by giving this K pop song the traditional singing style and an amazing stage. It was really cool and different. Something like that you can only see on Immortal Songs. I just wish I could have enjoyed it fully by understanding the lyrics so I could have laughed along with the audience.
Question for the Cafe: I notice in Immortal Songs and other Variety Shows that Commentators, Hosts, and Other Guests always find everything “Amazing!” I noticed it on Kingdom Legendary War as well. Like I feel everybody is overacting/overexaggerating, so I do not know if a person genuinely enjoyed a performance or not. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me? How do you gage if someone genuinely enjoyed whatever on a Variety show?
That’s another one on my ‘watch’ list. I’m sure those two together are a hoot. So many things to watch…so little time. I need to clone myself. Sigh…
Just watch the 1st one if you want to laugh - those two together are a RIOT! It will make you smile ![]()
Ever since I read that, I have been rooting to hear the news that the casting was finalized. I really love Sooyoung, and I think they’d make a great pairing.
It was officially Tweeted that I can see - not official on Soompi for him yet! But yes, I think we can look forward to his new drama.
iKON’ Bobby’s little son was born yesterday! BigBang’s Taeyang and his wife are also expecting a child! ![]()

Praying for the safety and health of both parents and children.
miss willow, you have been on my mind since yesterday, so here it is in a nut shell, yeah I have been through that too, esp this past 2 months. I have to get myself up and do something, get motivated, DO SOMETHING, crochet even if its about 30 min to an hour, (good exercise for the arm) get out and meet people, say hi to at least 20, go volunteer somewhere, and I bet NY has a bunch of places you can do that.
hey I got 3 fingers pointing back at me, I haven’t done that yet, help someone, awww I talk about genealogy, find a group and get involved, without having to pay money of course,
find a meet up group!! and here in good ole USA they have that, book clubs, Libraries, gyms, motivation is the key, I don’t want to, but do it anyway,
you got streets to explore there. bake a cake or cookies and give it to someone, so many things we can do to uplift someone, do you crochet? look on ■■■■■■■■ for the “random acts of crochet kindness” and do those.
there are so many people that need you and your “talents” comeone help me do this too! you aren’t that “old” yet, never, never give up!! family? few and far between, find someone that needs a boost, you do count!!
I may not be the best at this time, but I sure am trying, this arm , I am not going to give up cause of it, crochet, sew, bake a cake sp-read a bit of kindness, make it count!! you have a great and Blessed day,
I also have enjoyed your thoughts as well
and as for the young’uns here, they do understand, the boys they drool over, also my sons ages, I have kinda adopted them as mine,
so if you are gone for a couple of weeks, you will be missed
hey, I found something y’all might be interested. we all loved that narvella drama, let me see if I can"tickle your fancy" in a couple of other dramas, we did mention the aspergers syndrome, 1 move to heaven 2 and the good doctor 3, and that piano player 4 there’s another I don’t recall at the moment
I was directed to a couple of dramas ■■■■■, and I really hope I am not doing something I shouldn’t. but its called love on a spectrum,
no mystery, syfi. murder etc. BUT its stories about these folks that have issues, like Downs, Asperger and the others I am not able to name. they show them learning to love, just I guess learning to live, I do plan to watch it, I really hope it’s as good as that person said. and I hope someone here can and will watch it, oh its a short story too
I have Move to Heaven on my watchlist! Wish we could Watch Party that one but it isn’t on Viki ![]()
■■■■■ has a watch party function using a Chrome extension, in case you’re interested. I haven’t tried it myself.
I have Move to Heaven on my watchlist too. Every time I am perusing my list there, it seems to be at night, and I kind of feel like that one should be a daytime watch because of it’s sad elements. Sad or heavy themes are harder for me to watch when it’s dark. (One of my quirks)
Wookie is in danger!

Isn’t Move to Heaven - SAD - is it with Autism???
