F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers premiered today and I am loving it! I really like FL actress-she is so believable in the role. Ep. 1 was a great start and I am looking forward to the next episode. And can we talk about the visuals for this drama-wow! Everyone is soo pretty!

Otherwise, saw that BTS has been nominated for Best International Group for 2022 BRIT Awards. Competition is tough so they have their work cut out for them, I think. Voting is done by industry professionals who are members of BRI so itās not a fan award for this category. Sentimental favorite is ABBA, and I have to admit Iām kind of rooting for them to win as Iāve been a fan for years and they really are an amazing group.
Interestingly, Butter was not included in the 15(!) nominees for International Song of the Year. Nominees are determined by sales-top 15 best selling songs for the year are the nominees. Guess BTS donāt sell as many records in the UK as I thought they did.

I love ABBA too. So happy to see them nominated for awards this year after their comeback. I know they are longshots to win but itās still nice to see them get recognition at least. Hopefully these nominations will lead to more people checking out their music and get them some new fans.

I believe I read somewhere that Disney+ drama āSnowdropā is not available in the U.S., so is this also going to be true about its other new drama āRookiesā with Kang Daniel and Chae Soo Bin? I really wanted to see this one, and Iāll be upset if itās not available here in the US.

Hopefully Disney+ will make Rookies available in the US/North America region and not just SEA. They had to have witnessed the huge impact of Squid Game and Hellbound for Netflix in North America indicating there is a market and demand for Korean content here. We will have to see. Personally, I think it will be a 50/50 chance since they did not offer Snowdrop to North America.

Disney+ did not much to take a stand against AAPI hatred in the United States in 2020. Their remake of Mulan was disturbing on so many levels.
Netflix has some issues, but thatās where I saw Jackie Chan in The Foreigner (gripping), Keanu Reeves in Man of Tai Chi (beautiful), and Andy Lau in Shaolin (transcendentally spiritual). And some very interesting K-dramas.
Sadly, I had to make a choice between Netflix and Viki in my budget, and Viki won.

My schedule over the past three years has evolved so that I do two things late at night after taking an evening nap: I watch Viki and clean house.
This I discovered recently, and it knocked me out because it was so cheap, simple, and useful.

This show is 100% subtitled, all episodes, but is looking for a Channel Manager. It also does not have the option to add to a watchlist, or a collection.
