PS. My youngest daughter is vegan, and you know the drill with that. I get them for her at the Supermarket; and she does all her cooking.
have a blessed and joyful weekend everyone. Going Shopping later on. My favorite thing to do!
hey y’all where can we find those old dramas, shows , I am perticularly looking for the English ones, but asian ones as well. like this one!! this one was weird, scary and now look its now 2023!! wow time flies huh?
Well, I need to share this with you guys and that is shopping is no longer enjoyable for me! NO SALES whatsoever, and the cheapest simple blouse I bought cost me 19.99! That is shocking to someone used to getting sales. I thought the only thing going up in price was the food. BUT that’s the least of my worries now…
Summary
I’m also HORRIFIED found out around 12pm today the REVELATION is coming true. TWO powerful nations will unite and destroy the earth.
What does the Bible say about nations will rise against nations?
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Well, who of us by worrying will add years to our life? Luke 12:25-31
New International Version
25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life[a]? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
I just feel so sad about my grandchildren that are still young.
LET US PRAY!!!

Great, I am going to look today
@entwyfhasbeenfound and I started to talk on Vikis discord and as usual I wrote about iaido… I know many of you know it’s an important part of my life, I started close to two years ago I was the oldest in the beginners group at the time (I can’t pretend to be 17 and as agile). Is there something that you are putting up for the future then why not do it, if me the most clumsy person i know can do something like this then any one really can… on the picture me doing a “rei” to show respect ö.
RESPECT
Mary, I watched this movie when I was 15/16 on our TV and I was frozen, when I saw that they used dead bodies (the seniors who went in that Center as a last voyage to receive their shot) to make the green cookies as food.
The sentence: “It’s the year 2022… They’ll will do anything to get what they need.” is still valid as of today… New World Order in the work.
People refer to Soylent Green when countries make new restrictions or controlling laws. Perhaps like “1984” book. “Soylent” came from the book “Make Room, Make Room” and that food was made from soy and lentils - soylent.
The new generation should watch it, it’s food for the thought as well. And this was imagined already in 1973, 50 years ago!! Many situations described are currently happening on this planet! What a foresight!
But today you can find many things in thrift stores (some even new), furniture deco, toys, clothing, shoes… household items… I found many things, and I donated mountains when I moved! You can buy stuff on craigslist too, I sold so much there, and bought as well.
Aren’t any thriftstores near your place?
soylent green, yes food for thought!!
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
May GOD forgive me for saying this, but I would never wear anything from a thrift stores much less furniture since during the past year we hear so much about bed bugs and other critters that are around the world infecting stuff. First, you must know by now that I have an OCD condition, and I don’t wear anything someone else wore before. When I buy stuff new I make sure they get washed and Dry before any part of my body touches them. I ADORE my children and grandkids, and if they offer me to drink from what they are drinking I politely say no, but the thought aloneof drinking after someone else drank the water or soda for example, I want to throw up. Why I’m like that? Only GOD knows bc I don’t.
But thanks for the suggestion it’s a good one for those that like you can buy stuff on Thrift shops, and in the process save a lot of money. We have tons of thrift shops in my area and they are very popular store especially for the Caucasian that they love retro/oldies stuff.
I never ever had issues with bed bugs, you CANNOT donate matrasses for those reasons! But the clothes I bought some even new, many brands like JLO, I can’t remember others now, you see which clothes are in good shape and I have a cotton sweater from there still like new after washing… Jeans too… and good furniture.
You just wash them before using it, you can use a disinfectant on items.
Where I live, it is a trend among younger generation to buy used, because firstly new is so expensive and re-use is the “green” way, and also they sell furniture or stuff online when they move because some items might not fit the new apartment.
Too much still good stuff gets dumped too often, it’s better to recycle, upcycle or re-use.
My daughter has also OCD but shops in thrift stores, I’m not saying she buys everything, but she never mentioned bed bugs. - My neighbor’s daughter who returned from Africa had to throw away her suitcase with everything, cos it was infested with bedbugs… and this might be a rare case.
I also buy secondhand (the few times I get things), strangely many things are new and has never been used. That said I have the same size as my mother and grandmother (and yes even great grandmother) so I have a lot of things left efter they passed away. The clothing from way back is of better quality than the new things out there.
I don’t have to buy secondhand but it feels great when things are used and not only made to rubbish.
wow I had never thought of that, thanks for a heads up of “nasty” places like thrift stores, to be sure when you get stuff from the thrift store you do wash them, and as for mattresses and all, thats why you put them out in the sun, I am thankful for those thrift stores, I’d rather see my "used " stuff given to someone that is in need. wow, I don’t think I will ever go to another thrift store again!!
and I never had any problem when I bought stuff from the thrift sores. OH I KNOW you tear the used stuff up and make like blankets, doll clothes and other stuff, yeah Neat idea, then I dont have to give any of my clothes to anyone, just reuse them, how neat!!!
oh and P/S I will keep on THRIFTING,
