Hello,

I submitted a Korean drama My Love Eun-dong two days ago, and I’m waiting to the channel will be approval.

So three channels I submitted have been approved and now are fan channels. They are: The Empress’ Man (a.k.a. The Empress of China), Beautiful Secret and Diamond Lover.

That I know of, The Empress Man’ has two other channels, Beautiful Secret has one and Diamond Lover has three other channels so looks like people really want them on Viki :stuck_out_tongue:

My channel for Beautiful Secret also got approved, though I submitted way after you.

I feel like someone messed up along the way. I’m pretty sure there should only ever be one approved channel for any show, and it’s usually first come first serve. Previously I’d always get a message that the channel has been submitted and to contact the manager if I wanted to work on the project…

hi everyone , i love thai lakorns so isubmitted three channels for two lakorn and one for thai pop since ages but i guess they will not reply because copyright issue so i lost my hope that my channels will be approval, anyway hope every channels here will be approval

Hi

Please don’t give up! If you didn’t get response from the VIKI staff, that isn’t means they will not!
If VIKI wasn’t able to get the license (copywright issues), than they will write to you this type message:

Hi,

You recently submitted a channel for ___________________. Unfortunately, it can’t be approved because we were unable to obtain a license for this show.

By the way, about your Empress of China show. Sort of just wondering which drama it was for.

Your description says it’s for the remake of Queen In Hyun’s Man - and while there was a remake, it ended up being called Love (Weaves) Through a Millennium. However, there was also a drama called Empress of China starring Fan Bing Bing.

There was some sort of mix up with the channels I got a message saying my channel for Beautiful Secret is no longer available and to contact the Channel Manager which is you (I thought that was a little ironic :stuck_out_tongue:).

And for my Empress of China channel, it’s supposed to the drama starring Fan Bing Bing. I was too lazy and never changed the information (my bad!). But I was looking around and there was a channel approved way before mine for this show so I don’t know what to do with it now…

Ha! I see, I see.

I asked a community manager about the duplicate channels and they said they’d take care of it. And well, it looks like they sort of did…but just with some channels? Maybe they’re still working on it.

Thanks about your answer, and indeed you’re right. The channel isn’t approved, but it visible. I mean when I click on the link, the page is here and there is a mention “fan channel”. What does it mean ?

Hi,

There is a two possibility.

  1. You submitted the channel, so you and the VIKI staff able to see only this channel.
  2. When someone else submitted the channel, and you able to see it, but with the “fan channel”, that mean that, the channel approvaled, but haven’t got license yet.

The difference between fan channel and an official channel: Viki uploads the episodes in the channel, but for fan channel, the channel manager can uploading the episodes from youtube or daily motion ect… And there is’t avaible the blue waves in segment timer. And naturally fan-channels isn’t official.

Hi! I just submitted a channel request for a Drama Coming up called Jealousy Incarnate I’ll get back to you when Viki lets me know if the channel is Approved, or Denied.

(It’ll air around July 2016)

That channel was already approved under the name “Incarnation of Envy” (the original title).
