I really enjoyed it!!!
I was searching high and low about a post that was made a few weeks or months ago. About boycotting or not watching C-dramas, because of the stuff that is going on in the land.
However, I canāt find it and I do not recall who created it. Anyone?
@adrianmorales Do you perhaps know?
I remember the thread but I canāt seem to be able to find itā¦ Iām using all sorts of keywords with no results
LOL - so I am not alone, seems when Viki wants to keep their guidelines followed, they will delete something that catches their sight.
Because at the moment I am kind of feeling the same dilemma, keep on watching C-dramas or not ā¦
I feel like @adrianmorales created that topic but I canāt find it in his topics list; I checked just now. So Iām starting to think it might have been quietly deletedā¦ though we usually get notifications when someone deletes our stuff!
Iām also debating whether to stop watchingā¦ thereās this very interesting-looking upcoming cdrama that deals with an era Iām not sure about watching. In general, I avoid most military-oriented dramas and war-period dramas, but Iām not sure about the rest
I thought so as well, but was sure, so I directed the question to Adrian as well, but I didnāt see a reply.

There is no way I would ever ask people to boycott anything. Buy what you want. Watch what you like. Indeed I made a post some time ago in which I stated that Viki was adding one too many Cdrama while giving us Kdrama fans the cold shoulder.
But then I realised it was only because viewers prefer the former. So I kindly asked the Viki staff to delete my post. Ever since I joined Viki, my priority has always been the fans who power this website. Cross my heart!
Anyone Being Super Choosy Lately!!!
That wasnāt your post at all. I remember it well, and it was a girl who posted that. How can people think you would do such a thing like that? The post was so out of place, so of course it was deleted immediately. I remember someone wrote in another post that she was replying to that person, and the whole thing disappeared as the person was writing the reply. it was that offending to the Chinese community, and that fast it was out of commission from this forum.
My friend that I started Choosy Chick for - Just Finished this one! She actually liked it!
Thatās a good one. I feel like Iāve gotten more choosy over time. I used to read reviews just to find out if it was going to have a sad ending, but now I pay more attention to other details as well. There are certain actors and actresses that I will watch basically no matter what, but if itās a drama Iām not familiar with, with stars Iām not familiar with, I will be more choosy for certain things, like annoying FLs or crazy second leads, or bad parents, etc. Iām still not very choosy when it comes to genre, though.
My friend is so CHOOSY - She makes me crazy! She doesnāt like a lot of them I think she would. She LOVE LOVE LOVED Fated to Love You Korea and I found her a boyfriend. She is now so into Jung Hyuk - Itās crazy!!! I told her I introduced them!
Her own personal matchmaker. How nice of you.
I didnāt mean it in that way! Iām sorry! It wasnāt asking anyone to boycott anythingā¦ it was a debate over whether people in general should continue watching these dramasā¦ I found nothing very wrong with it.
Yep, I check both MDL and Viki reviews, and now Iāve started scouring MDLās comment section tooā¦ they usually give everyone a heads-up if there are any of those annoying tropes.
