Team Discussions posting in the Viki Discussions forum?

I’m going crazy… my Viki Discussions forum notifications are blowing up because it’s backlogging current and older Team Discussions, not just here but also my email! What the heck happened? This just started happening this week. Not just current drama TD discussions, but older ones too. I’m only following a few forum discussions here. And my notifications are NOT turned on for Viki because of this scenario…

I’ve muted most of these but as soon as I mute one, I get 5 more added. As I type this, I’m getting notifications in my email that 2 more just arrived.

If I mark them as spam, then the Viki Discussions that I am following will go there as well, as I’ve already tried this.

Am I the only one with this problem?

I don’t know what they are trying to say… or what they want us to do.

I think that’s their way of getting around the cookie problem. There are people who don’t have access to Team Discussion, and because you can no longer confirm cookies, they no longer have access.

If that is the case, I could deal with this… but some of these Team Discussions I’m receiving are from nearly 2 years ago. Going that far back is nonsense IMHO.

Personally, I would prefer to solve the actual problem with cookies rather than looking for an alternative.
If I change my post in the team discussion because I have finished the QC or something else has come up, it is not changed here. It remains the first post, which makes no sense if this is supposed to be a place for exchange. And everything happens with a time delay.

As for the old posts, you’re right, that makes even less sense.

I guess that they create topics for all channels uploaded in 2024-2025. Also, we should not overlook the possibility of this being the new way of communication about a channel instead of the editor’s TD. Since they also got 2024 finished channels, it’s very likely to be the case of actually replacing the TD.

I think if they move it here completely and then there is no longer a team discussion in the editor itself, that’s fine. Then everything can be changed and adjusted here. But if they leave it there twice, it has to be synchronized immediately, otherwise information will be lost.

We have to wait until they are completely finished and then hopefully they will inform us about how to proceed with the team discussion.

Looks like only 81 channels have been migrated so far.

It doesn’t look like they’re syncing it automatically right now. I tried to post on Discussions to see if it updates the TD.

It looks like they either have a timer that syncs stuff across both platforms or somebody hits a button to sync it regularly.

This is all great and dandy, but the fact that they are all going to my email. Aaaagh! A warning would have been nice before my emails got spammed with over 200 team discussions of them.
