Happy New Year!
We hope you had a restful and relaxing holiday and are looking forward to 2024 as much as we are. Here’s a preview of a few things we are lining up for you this year!
- More live events – we will be hosting more trivia and icebreaker games and asking YOU to come up with questions for the next trivia event!
- New community initiatives – we were so inspired by the community spirit from Seg-Subtember 2023, so we’re working on something new for you for this Spring!
- More Contributor spotlights – this community is made up of so many amazing people and we want to give them their moment in the sun!

Winter Subathon Recap
A big thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun!
- There were 2,760,185 total contributions made during our Winter subathon, incredible!
- German was the top subtitled language followed by Italian! Spanish narrowly missed second by only 1,229 contributions. Well done, everyone!
- There were 1,336 Contributors who earned a new snowy owl badge!

Product Updates
New personalization features were recently launched on Project Finder! Recruiters can now personalize their acceptance criteria so applicants can check if they meet the criteria before applying to a team.
Applicants now have the option of using a toggle to view and apply only to the channels they have access to. We’ve also made it easier to add sample videos to an application. All sample videos will automatically appear in a drop down menu, eliminating the task of manually finding them and pasting in the links.

NSSA 10th Year Anniversary
It is with great enthusiasm that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Ninja Segging & Subbing Academy (NSSA) for a full decade of teaching and dedication!
For the past ten years, the NSSA has been a beacon of guidance for Contributors in both segmenting and subtitling on Viki. Their commitment to teaching and graduating over 830 Contributors throughout the years is truly admirable. Join us in toasting them on this remarkable achievement!
