Hello there! I am available to translate from English to Azerbaijani. It is a small language community (and I believe I might be the only subtitler in this language lol). I am currently working on one project, and I can take one more. Movie, drama, or variety show does not matter, and romance or family drama genre is preferred. Looking forward to working together!
She is already a moderator. But she didn’t get approval for our language as the person who can approve is not active.
There is obviously a misunderstanding here. Here is how things work on Viki:
- Every drama/movie has a Channel Manager (CM) whose job is to choose a team of Moderators and the Cheif Segmenter. Only CM can give someone the function of a language Moderator on their drama
- Any person with enough experience can become a moderator. Moderator’s job is to choose a team of subtitlers. Moderators have the responsibility of officially adding subbers to their team.
Your friend may have been a moderator on other projects. But that is irrelevant at this point.
The biggest issue here is that the CM is inactive, so there is no one to name her Moderator for this project.
If she contacted the CM to become moderator, and the CM doesn’t respond within a week, she should open a ticket at Contributor Help (the one I posted above) to ask Viki to do it instead of the CM. As simple as that.
