I didn’t know, if it’s connected to some scams or not, so I created a new topic. I hope it’s okay.
I was scrolling through my page and I noticed, that a lot of accounts follow me. So I checked what those accounts are. And I found something weird.
There are a lot accounts like this: simmilar formating, names, pictures and almost completely empty profiles (some have really scammy “about me” pages).
It creeps me out a bit. Should I report them? Or not?
Do you also have this problem?
I have some of those, too. I assumed they were just viewers who don’t know what Following is for.
I mean, let’s face it, half of the time I don’t know what it’s for 
yes & it was driving me crazy. But they have their profiles about magic or how to make someone obsessed with you, etc. it’s just very creepy & i really don’t understand these pages. i mean, who will even check their pages except by mistake?
Some are also spam Accounts
I have about three, or more following me too and I reported, but they have not taken any action in response.
I’ve also posted about it here in a thread in discussions.
If everyone check, both Viki’s, and Disqus’s following, these types of profiles follow you, and you cannot even block them from following. 
Maybe on Disqus, you can block them from following, but not Viki.
I’m wondering if they are the paid language translators.

I’ve had those before Viki came with the paid subbers… weird people… that promote sort of their work knowledge or a company and so… nothing in relation to drama shows or volunteering…
yes, they are weird for sure, but i feel like they are promoting black magic. is it only me?
I’m not sure what folks you have, but I don’t think the Voodoo tricks would work through a website 
These profiles are just sitting there, they can only see some of your work… perhaps they are hoping you will contact them…
If you really have a questionable follower profile you can file a ticket to inquire, they (Viki) can check much more.
They should create a block from following button, or option.
I’m sure they are hoping for someone to contact them, i just thought it’s a very useless idea since no one check profiles in general.
I just noticed them coincidently as our Arabic community is very small & suddenly i find 68 followers so i checked.

I only have 7 followers and I know who they are…
I got curious. I have a few. One of them has in their ‘about me’:
“I have met a person who is a specialist of tantra to destroy (links to something). He provides an easy mantra to destroy a person, which is working effectively.”
Someone else had:
“Practiced in the art of importing mannequins for the government. Uniquely-equipped for merchandising accordions in Cuba. Practiced in the art of marketing teddy bears in Orlando, FL…”

These seem like Spam bots / advertisement accounts like ppl have mentioned before (if they aren’t… then idk ). They seem to all have female names / pictures… to seem less scary?
I usually don’t check the profiles of people I don’t know at all. Only the ones who I have worked with or are former students 
. I would just ignore these. I’m not sure if Viki would do anything if you report them.
yeah, Scammers job is to follow every single new account and to extract as much info. as you can for profit.Why?,∵they are meant to scam the every single chance they get.Once I created a new account in in late night and the very single fraction of second someone started following.I was like wt I viewed his/her profile and the name was r607#9gfz, it showed that they also created the account 2 days ago.I wonder how can they be so nasty… 
I have very few people following me (1), so I noticed when I saw I had a new person follow me. (I totally got excited) But I had no clue who they are, and I went to their page, thinking maybe we had worked on a drama together, but the page was empty. However, in the “about me” section, it’s talking about laser hair removal, so I was very confused. It looks like they joined Viki and just started following people, but I’ve not received any weird messages or comments, so I’m not really sure what the person is doing.
Like you, I was not sure if I am meant to report them, but right now, they have not done anything to me but follow me. So, I don’t think they have broken any rules, but they also clearly don’t want to be buddies either.
