What happened that almost every drama's subtitles seem out of sync?

ONLY IF the auto-sync segmenting tool option was still around, we managers or English moderators of a channel could have helped this easily and much faster.

I think VIKI shouldn’t have removed several options we used to have before :confused:

Is there an update to this problem? I am still stuck on episode 4 of History of a Salaryman as 5 onwards still has the problem.

“Mother of Mine” is out of sync. First encounter for me. :frowning:
It seems only K-dramas are affected. (Let me not jinx it for other dramas, lol)

@jadecloud88 You should report it at the bugs and issues post. It’s only K-dramas till now, I won’t jinx it either, don’t know what Viki did or tried to do, but well. This is the first airing one, of the newer ones I only that was kind of “on air”, since Viki uploads two episodes a week, but isn’t Mother of Mine a sole VPP drama. Doesn’t it have subtitles like “only English” by KBS?

I ‘heard’ you through the cyberwaves. lol. I’ve dropped the Viki team a note about it. Even though the out of sync isn’t that bad, it is quite ‘annoying’ to watch something that’s not in sync. I had to turn off the subtitles for better enjoyment. :slight_smile:

You’re right. ‘MoM’ is on-air, VPP from K-wa, and only available with Eng subtitles for now. Perhaps the out of sync has to do with videos and subtitles from the K-wa source (or KBS?) No wonder the subtitles are with ‘breaks’, even for short sentences, quite unlike the usual Viki-style.

@jadecloud88 (Maybe I should try not to type so loud …) I can’t tell about KBS subtitles at Viki, since I feel I live in a fairy tale in a far away place where one can not see behind the VPP veil. It’s not only KBS drama, as Your Honor which I happen to come across had subtitles showing about 20 seconds to early for the first 2 episodes. It would be nice, if this could be easily explained. Or if perhaps when they change video or audio, well I don’t know, since some people mention that a song has been switched. They should announce and “close” that channel for maintenance or so …
But it really last too long already … Isn’t it a month now?

Yes, a month is too long. As for MoM, today’s 11 and 12 are fine. The sync is back in good order. :slight_smile: I hope the same is true for all the other out of sync cases.
