I would love, love to see again here at Rviki, is a Japanese short drama that I did spanish subs and edited the english subs when it was a little off (i guess they used a translator sometimes).

Anyway, it was about an almost 30 year old housewife, with a cheating husband and 2 gorgeous intelligent kids. The little girl was amazingly intelligent, the way she talked to her mommy and console her.

I remember she wanted to be a model and terrible things happens to her along the way but in the end she triumphs and become a role model for womenā€¦

The only thing I remember about the title right now is Colour de rose. Iā€™ve tried to find it elsewhere with no luck. It was inspirational and I loved the ending more than anything. I always thought it would have a second part but sadly it never happened (as far as I know).

interested films, on weekend i definitely download this, thanks

I love Japanese dramas/movies and I am constantly looking for new ones. For people new to watching these here are some of my favorites I have found.

Last Cinderella
Love for Beginners
Ookami Shoujo To Kuro Ouji
My Teacher
The Assassinā€™s Blade. (this is really sad)

I am interested in watching any that are put on this site. I love mainly romance/comedies. So any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Oh, I didnā€™t post here before? How could this happen?

I think I would want to watch 5 Ji Kara 9 Ji, I donā€™t know how it is but still.
One I have seen, several times probably my first real J-Drama love is Pride, so even it is a bit aged now. This one is still present in my mind.

Rich Man Poor Woman ā€¦ Japanese version is better, if I may say so.

I still think there are many more, but will leave it at 3.

i watched iguana no musume a long time ago, (2008 i think??) and the whole time i could not decide if i loved it, or disliked it. It is so ā€¦ different. But i watched the whole drama with very much anticipation. Iā€™d really like to rewatch it, to see if it still has the same confusing impact on me.

I finished watching that japanese detective, hae almost acted like shurlock, criminologist etc. sorry. but this was funny entertaining too and also good mysteries.

I would love for everyone to enjoy watching here the Japanese movie: HITOKOWA- Thee killing hours. They are short horror stories.

Also a documentary about homeless people. in Japan. You{ll be amazed how they always overcome any hardships in their life.

A home with a view from Hong Kong is funny and many more things all in one. A must see!

I loved the film so much that i have bought the whole series (3 CDā€™s) :heart_eyes:

Yeah, after a bit of searching, I found it. On a site I cannot mention here.
Look for ā€œHoly Battle in Couleur de Rose - The Future Is ā€¦ā€ and you will eventually find it. All six episodes, fully subbed in English.

Iā€™ll copy-paste my list from another thread here. A textwall, but I think in this context more info is better than not enough, and I donā€™t plan on posting one of these every day. (ā€œThanks!ā€ they say.
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )

  • ā€œLifeā€ (2007) - based on Keiko Suenobuā€™s manga about brutal school bullying, is easily the best, most ethically spectacular drama Iā€™ve ever seen. Iā€™d die to see it again and I would dearly like to introduce a whole bunch of friends to it, butā€¦ thereā€™s no longer any place to see it. I describe ā€œLifeā€ as being ā€œLike ā€˜Alien,ā€™ but with scarier monsters.ā€ Every single scene in this is electrifying, and every single scene has that rarity of rarities, the either-or moral choice . In virtually every scene someone has to choose between loyalty to a friend vs. fitting in with the crowd; giving up vs. fighting; standing up for oneself vs. caving in and living as a beaten dog; trashing an enemy in vengeance vs. elegantly stepping aside and allowing them to destroy themselves via their own embarrassing actions; stepping in and saving the day for someone else vs. indirectly guiding them and letting them triumph via their own effort. Viki really needs to get a ā€œLife,ā€ hahaha. Anyone whoā€™s ever had to endure being bullied will find this drama to be jaw-dropping and flat-out magnificent in its inspiration;

  • ā€œJoker Yurusarezaru Sosakanā€ (2010) - a brilliant show about the ethical questions in vigilantism, with some incredible twists and some of the best acting Iā€™ve seen in ages (Sakai Masato is a Japanese Gary Sinese, with an inscrutable face thatā€™s always smiling but with heavy-duty conflict going on in his head.) I know at least two friends, one of them a bestselling writer of vigilante novels, whoā€™d really dig this show and would likely become long-term subscibers if the show were here;

  • ā€œVoiceā€ (2009) - about forensic science students turned detectives, with a classic ā€œmorality playā€ in every episode, like vintage Star Trek and Twilight Zone used to be, IOW, food-for-thought long after itā€™s done, and with excellent acting and writing;

  • ā€œIryu: Team Medical Dragonā€ (2006) - one of the best and most realistic doctor shows Iā€™ve ever seen, also with great writing, acting and effects;

  • ā€œKiina: Fukano Hanzai Sosakanā€ (2009) - about a police woman assigned to an X-Files-type division that deals with weird supernatural cases, much like the classic ā€œGalileoā€ but even weirder;

  • ā€œUshi ni Negai woā€ (a.k.a. ā€œWish Upon A Cowā€ or ā€œLove & Farmā€ - 2007) - a group of pampered Tokyo college students sign up for a semester in Hokkaido to intern as farm workers, where they instantly regret it but canā€™t back out, so they have to learn to get serious about life and basically to grow up. I remember in the opening episode two of them birth an actual calf, live, with no effects and no help (nothing is done half-hearted in Japan, including acting.) The calf, which they name ā€œGreen,ā€ basically becomes another cast member as he grows older. Just a cool and totally unique show;

  • ā€œYasashii Jikanā€ (2005) - about a father and son living a few miles apart on Hokkaido without knowing it, whoā€™d become estranged after the son crashed the family car, killing his mother. The father runs the Forest Clock, a coffee bar with a huge picture window that looks out on the forest beyond - an actual place you can visit in Furano. A really intense, emotional melodrama that will stick with you forever, and has Ayaka Hiraharaā€™s ā€œAshitaā€ as its theme song(!)

  • Dr. X (2012) - This was on Amazon Prime but got deleted before I had the time to see it (theyā€™ve ditched a ton of their J-dramas too, which means there has to be a bunch of J-drama addicts just as frustrated as me, wanting somewhere else to see them.) This one has gone to six seasons, so it must be good.

  • Asakusa Fukumaru Ryokan (2007) - about a nosy and hilarious inn owner in Tokyoā€™s Asakusa district, starring Nishida Toshiyuki, who played the grumpy noodle chef opposite the late, great Brittany Murphy in ā€œRamen Girl.ā€ This had a second season but Iā€™ve only seen the first - a great comedy with some heavy tear-jerker action too. By the end of this the actors will feel like theyā€™re your family, and youā€™ll be sad to have to say goodbye to them.

  • Midnight Diner (a.k.a. Shinya Shokudo - 2009 onward) - About a diner that opens at midnight and closes in the morning, and the weird regulars and non-regulars who show up there. This is mondo cool and has gone to something like five seasons, but Netflix only has one. So a great opportunity to pick up their slack and basically pull fans of the show away from the ā€œflixā€ Borg.

Prolly others Iā€™m forgetting - well ā€œWith Loveā€ from 1998, which is basically the same story as the movie ā€œYouā€™ve Got Mailā€ but came out several months earlier - people might be put off by the now ancient-looking computers that are the focus of the story, but itā€™s a great story (with some flaws,) with phenomenal music thatā€™s woven throughout the plot.

Ok, now Iā€™m done. Again, sorry for the textwall but better to be thorough.
