Year-End QC Gift

Yeah, I can’t receive it either. I got that message too; that they’re not able to send it to my country… what a shame, but after finding out that it’s just stickers, I guess I’m less disappointed that I won’t be receiving them.

After all the hours people put in on this site, its kinda like getting the middle finger. But i think this is a sign for us to think on other places/sites to volunteer on. They’ll slowly overtake and then call it a thank you to us. Like now. maybe 2026 is the last year for us to enjoy this ‘present’

Haven’t even received EOT email this time…

I’m so sorry to hear that. I received my message about the Year End Gift in my Viki Messages, not my email. Did you check your Viki Inbox in Messages?

I’m thinking the same. The gift is the littlest that we can have while we are still implicated in some projects. We don’t count our hours here. But now we can count the number of new projects coming where we can work. This January is a kind of exemple of what is coming. Less and less projects for us, more and more dramas without any teams.

Just a question, do we have to opt out of it or does it count as opting out if we just don’t answer the questionnaire this time? I doubt my country will be on the list, but also I know that even if it’s possible, there will be a problem with delivery due to some changes in policy in my country.

You can just ignore them. You only get the gift if you specifically fill out the form.

Thanks so much for the info! Sorry for the belated answer. For some reason, I thought I had already replied.

Hi everyone, did anyone receive the mail yet? I got a text message yesterday to pay 3.75 francs It says my package has been deferred until I pay. Also the website link looks weird to me and not valid , but it says in words below UPS AG Schweiz… not sure if this is spam. Tomorrow I call UPS Switzerland to inquire…

Be careful, here (Greece) such messages are usually scams.

Does Viki even know your phone number?

I’m usually vary, but it’s just that mail is coming from Viki, I assume from the US. I had a similar phone call from custom but I couldn’t understand the guy and hung up, when I was expecting a package from my daughter also from US.
I gave the number to the Postoffice, they said, it’s an unknown number.

It’s crazy to be always on alert with these scams!

I wondered that too, and I can’t remember whether they actually asked.

But as I said earlier about the package from my daughter. I had to call the Postal Services of US and they didn’t find it and a week later it traveled to Canada, then back to US and then to me in Switzerland… it took a month…

They’ve become very professional now. They even copy company’s logos. Now as for our phone and further information are everywhere, we can’t escape anywhere.

@simi11 Do not send money, it is not UPS, if you entered your visa card numbers, block it quickly because they will take all the money from your account.

We’re grateful you asked about this, @simi11 ! That text message you received was not related to anything sent from Viki. We are targeting the end of this month for our EOY gift mail out. We’ll be using the regular postal service (vs. UPS or the equivalent) as we didn’t want to take any chances in having custom fees (eg. duties, taxes, or tariff) incurred. Thanks!

Thank you so much for responding to my issue. I look forward to your gift and thank you :bouquet:
Sadly, with digital life there are too many scam artists and one has to be always on alert. This creates trust issues in general. Have a wonderful day, Simi :raised_hands:

No worries, I rather inquire if it’s valid, before giving my money away… my money “I do not share” easily  I remember I had also messages from German shipping company, also fake, when I ordered something from Germany. - Why it happens when Im expected to receive a shipment that is bizarr.
