Bottom List Dramas

Here’s my list:

Heirs - it was too long, boring and wasn’t original. It was just like any other poor girl-rich boy lovestory. And there were too much “LOVE IS THE MOOOMENT”…
Boys Over Flowers - okay, I know it has many fans, but I didn’t like it. 25 episodes were too much - it became very boring. I didn’t like the characters either. Jan Di was irritating, Gu Jun Pyo was a jerk and Ji Ho was annoyingly kind and always sad.
Doctor Stranger - the first 2-3 episodes was really good, but then nothing special happaned. But I liked the atmosphere of this drama.
Painter Of The Wind - until ep 20 nothing happened, I found it boring, and then the last episode was a rush. And I prefer romantic dramas and it didn’t have much romance.
Playful Kiss - it has a lot of illogical moments and the characters were controversial and annoying.

But I wouldn’t say that these dramas are totally awful, all of these dramas have some really nice moments.

For me almost all periodical k-dramas that have major mythical / unnatural elements in them.
The Night Watchmen Saw only the first episode and was not impressed at all. Black magic and rituals? And what about the main female character’s dress? That kind of clothing looks like it is from some anime, not fitting the time period at all.
Moon Embracing The Sun I watched this till the end, but something in it felt off the whole time. Especially the magic stuff…
Gu Family Book I watched maybe 6 eps and gave up. (See the trend here?)

I don’t watch those “short” modern day dramas that much. They very often have really cliched and overused storylines. (How many times they have done the “girl dressing like a boy” thing already? I coffee prince it was still interesting idea, but now it is boring.)

I’ve gone through tons of dramas, but there’s only one that made me feel as though I wasted so many hours of my life watching it and regretted the day I decided to give it “a shot”.

High Kick Through the roof S2

There are a 126 episodes=48hours

Those were a wasted 48hours of my life. I actually liked watching this, it was a sitcom and all the characters you truly learned to love them because of the time you spend watching, then the stupid writers decided to do that ending

Spoiler: It’s a sitcom, yet the two main leads end up dead. And none of the storylines of other characters (there are like 5-10) get a proper ending . And it’s terrible. Bad. Horrible. Waste of time. Slap in the face. Feeling cheated would be an understatement, a huge one.

Never has the terrible ending of a drama (even Big) ruined the drama for me, but this ending completely washed away how much I’d enjoyed the show. It’s really, truly terrible. Even if you decide to give it a shot because of the cast (who were amazing) never watch the last episode, or you’ll be too afraid to ever watch a korean sitcom again.

I agree with your list and lets face it ‘a few good moments’ is not good enough. I like my dramas to keep me waiting anxiously for the next episode. I think I’ll add ‘Trot Lovers’ to that list also, another one with a few good moments and couple of nice songs and a waste of time.

heirs: thank u someone that don’t like heirs like I watch 1 eps and didn’t like it and I swear I was going to continue because people said it was good but I couldn’t I
trot lover: I started it didn’t continue idk why

My list:

  1. Big - I’m really surprised not a lot of people said this one. But this one was draggy and boring.
  2. Heirs - I hate dropping dramas, and I hate not finishing things. However, I dropped this one. It was over hyped, I believe.
  3. Full House - I apologize to everyone who loved this one, but I didn’t really like it
  4. Dream High 2 - I also dropped this one…not as good as the first!

My bottom list dramas:

  1. Marry him if you Dare. No explanation necessary. Just a total waste of time.
  2. Doctor Stranger. I really tried to like this show because the first few episodes were so good. I gave up close to the end.
  3. Angel Eyes. It’s rare that I get so angry at the lead girl in any drama (I also hated the main girl in When a Man Loves) but this girls depressing behavior at the end of the drama made me give it up. I wished they stayed kids. That’s when the drama was good.

I never really liked Full House either. When I watched this I was also new to K-Dramas and didn’t understand that no matter how cruel the main lead treats the lady, she always chooses him. I wanted her to be with the tall handsome guy. LOl! Same thing with BOF.

deak_india you pretty much summed up how I felt about BOF! It still doesn’t make my bottom list though.

Haha!! What got me through don’t hesitate were the timed Viki comments. I laughed so much through the 90 something episodes because of the hilarious comments.

yea girl! im right with ya, i will forever and always love dream high. it was my 1st drama, and i fell in love with the story, plus the singing, music and singing is my THING. i liked dream high 2 regardless though. i really did.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! x.D i agree, even tho i personally liked her character and found it funny, i could see where you got that from.

omg im NEVER watching that then lol. THANK YOU for the heads up, was always curious about that one because, wasnt kikwang in it? (i love him).

well said my friend. well said…

The cast was awesome, I watched it for Yoon shi yoon and I can’t believe how young he was, I didn’t even recognize Gikwang until I was like like Oo it’s him!!! And the story is actually good for 125 episodes, but despite being so good by making that ending they completely just made me afraid of ever watching a korean sitcom again, like ever. Never had the ending of a drama erased how much fun you had watching it, but this one was just so terrible that it made unable to remember they day I gave it a shot

<- see, I’m already getting all fired up over it even though it’s been like 6-7 months since I saw it, but that horrible ending is imprinted on my brain forever /./

i felt JUST like that when i watched 49 days, so ill put that drama here too. the ending was too horrible for words, too much pain and heartbreak that it made you forget some of the nice moments and the journey to it. traumatizing for me i’d say, just like high kick through the roof was for you. (but why? if it was a sitcom O.o like, you didnt even have time to prepare yourself. thats terrible). the heartbreaking horrible end will forever be imprinted on my brain. and its only a couple months since i saw that one too.

still traumatized O.O:

he was in it?!

gahhh i love him xDDD <3 but if its as bad as you said, i am NEVER watching that. nuh- uh,no way. nuh.

Really?? Hmm…well I mostly didn’t like this one because it was kind of boring. As for me, I like it when they pick the cruel main lead because I like to see the main lead’s development and change into a nicer figure…though my heart still aches for the second main lead guy!!

Omgosh I know what you mean by 49 days - I dramathoned that one too. And was like WTf O.O with that ending, I’d seen the moon that embraces the sun recently - it’s like Jung Il woo will only take roles that will break you heart.
But with 49 days it’s like SPOILER: she finally gets the tears & then finds out she’s going to die in another 5 days anyway.
Honestly though, I wasn’t that horrified by the ending since you can kinda see it coming (I didn’t really like it since I wanted a happy ending where the she’d fall for the scheduler - but that would have become a totally different story), it’s sad but you’ll be better after a few dramas, except feel like slapping Jung Il Woo for taking the saddest roles (though I totally loved him as the scheduler)
Yes, I did not think that a writer would have the nerve to troll people’s emotions like that T.T

One more where Jung Il Woo makes you cry - the 35th episode (I think) of High Kick Through the roof S 2 (yes the one I’m begging all of you not to watch because of the horrible ending) but you know how every episode usually has a new story in a sitcom (though this was a sorry excuse of a sitcom) the episode with Jung Il Woo was absolutely the saddest episode ever - even now, whenever I think about it I feel so sad

  • There’s a thai version of 49 days on Viki (and I’m kinda hoping they’ll do sth else with the ending)

and yes - yoon shi yoon was in it
He was my reason for watching the drama, because I was suffering major SecondLeadSyndrom from PrimeMinister&I and I wanted to see him act in something else
Though I totally regret that desicion, the cast they chose to star in this is amazing, it’s just the writer who completely ****** up the ending.

Heirs is on my list as one of the worst ever, but what made it really bad was the huge over-hype about it.

I think that is what happened especially since it was Lee Min-ho’s comeback {I think} everybody was expecting this drama to be amazing. Sadly it was a bit disappointing. 8/

OMG we are sooooo in common T.T im SO glad someone agrees with me on that because… broken hearted

spoiler i nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuw!!! (know) omg that boy is gonna kill me one day i CANNOT see him die again.i cried soooo much when he did there because I had JUST FINISHED 49 DAYS O.O can u imagine? i saw it 2wice in a row. i seriously said: thats it, someone is setting me up here lol they are literally trying to kill me. the parting of him in his roles is too much for me. plus hes a fantastic actor, so it traumatizes me when he dies. i only loved having him in flower boy ramyn shop because he was so silly and charming and he DIDNT DIE. i got to watch out for his future roles, will probably only watch them if the drama ends and i get to hear opinions from everyone that HE didnt die. or if its completely comedic. and that song he sings for the 49 days ost closes eyes tight just killed me even further. whenever that song comes up on my ipod, im like : SKKKKIIIIIP!

he’s so adorable and handsome with such a lovely voice were gonna have to lock him up in a closet and saying “your not leaving cuz i will never let you die again. EVER!!!” LOL LOL jk

what a waste of time and LIFE lol.im sorry to the fans, but dang. why give us all this hope then, through this journey?
and not only did SHE die, but EVERY SINGLE PERSON dies, and they MUST show every single parting in the way it happens in the most emotional and heart tearing way ever, to inflict as much pain on the viewer as possible and to make them suffer. the parting of everyone, they didnt even get to say a proper goodbye or even ugh. have a relationship with eachother or even tell eachother that they love one another ( the main couple), and then the goodbye of jung il woo and his girlfriend and their last day feels sick. i saw something coming but i wasnt warned enough to see everything coming at once T.T

ahh i did too!! omg we think alike! yea,it wouldve became something else haha. i wouldve loved it, it couldve happened, i think he slightly was into her too and had pitty for her.

tottally, HAHA

T.T yesssss!

OMG dont tell me, PLEASSEEE dont tell me, does he die in there too?!! omg im gonna be sick. thanks for the warning, gosh he’s in there too? no WONDER it was sad  -________________________________- im so glad u told me cuz i was gonna watch it one day.
i actually want you to tell me what happens since im not gonna see it lol you should message me it.

O.O let me know if they do, i doubt it O.o
