That’s a good suggestion as long as everyone is willing to follow the request for no spoilers for a certain amount of time. I will also do my very best to refrain from reading anything, but I know myself well.

She was given a phone ( her phone) to contact her mother. She had her phone the whole time until the service was cut off. She had a tv the whole time until the power was cut off. She had access very much to the internet and cable. But what would she be watching??? The whole world is being affected by the virus… so no ones playing movies or shows.
I guess you didn’t understood what I wrote here since you, yourself, wrote all this, and you still don’t see what I was trying to say all along? The poor child was left alone during such a traumatic time for a child without her mother or father by her side, no TV, no phone, while the world was falling apart around her. So cruel since they could have added another child in another apartment.
The FUNNY part of this crazy drama is that the guy is recording all the drama happening there, and saying when the internet comes back his followers can see it, but I bet his followers are probably dead by now. Also, it was very dumb of him that while seeing what was going around with infected people, he knew his mom was infected, but stayed in the apartment. That’s what I call Brainless people…

My Honest opinion? The writer realize what a ridiculous mess this drama was, and I bet the public/viewers must be insulting the writer. Producer and Director because the story makes little to no sense at all.
The wife of the guy in charge was only 3 months pregnant, but he has been able to keep the mom zombie and a baby in such a cruel condition? They don’t eat the flesh. They get extremely thirsty and crave blood only. Does that mean he fed her blood all this time? In reality he’s creating a monster, and not a baby.
The wife of unfaithful guy was hit very hard in the head with a golf club, and she had a hole big enough to have killed her, like it killed the other zombies, but his wife stayed alive all that time and decides to die in the Hospital? lol
They can’t make a second season of this mess because they won’t know how to fix it, and finally give it a decent ending. If anything, they got lucky people watched this drama because they like ML/FL, and I bet if it wasn’t for that no one would have bothered with this so senseless drama. ALIVE was so much better and exciting and I just hope ppl can enjoy it here at RViki.

I know that we all have different opinions on different dramas and movies. Like I just so happen to not like Red Sky - but SO many people did.
A lot of us are “OVER the MOON” for Happiness - We had been waiting for Park Hyung Sik to get home from the military and start his new drama and bring us his BEST - I have to say that I think that he has! Not just because he is a HOTTIE - Because I respect him as an actor and artist - he is so TALENTED! He chose something different! He chose a new kind of story! I have been on the edge of my seat each week - and I’M SO EXCITED TO SEE THE FINALE!
I don’t want to get into a “push and pull” about who likes what or whom!
I just want to continue to be EXCITED about a show that I have REALLY liked!
So in answer to the QUESTION - A Positive YES - I am so excited to finish this drama and see where it takes me! I don’t really delve into the minutia of the story - I just enjoy the RIDE…

I didn’t know you didn’t like it, and I’m shocked too bc I liked the drama, I just got scared with the ending; so I waited to see comments before I went back to see the ending, and I was so happy with that ending bc they even had a baby boy! It was a bit bland on the romance, but I think it’s bc of the virus situation since a lot of singers/actors are getting the virus now. It’s scary.
You know [happiness] (zombie movies) make me run away, but I can stay and watch them scenes bc they were done very mildly (imo) unlike ALIVE that’s a great zombie movie. My number 1 is RESIDENT EVIL all parts. That one is a heart attack inducer series.
PS. I was wondering why PHS face looked like he was taking steroids (to cure a disease/sickness) and even thought he had thyroid or the virus but if he just got back from Military I’m guessing he was making up for all the food they are deprived to eat during training. Episode 11 you can see the roundness in his face and neck. I hope he’s just a bit on the chubby side. HE’S SUCH A HUNK!

So one of the things that PHS said in an interview is that he didn’t want that IDOL look. He wanted to look like a ex-baseball player and cop! He actually looks so good BEEFED up - I hope he does more action dramas as he is really good at the new genre!

I’m curious what you base this assumption on? This drama has actually led the ratings in its time slot, on cable, from the very beginning, and its ratings have only gone up every single episode. And this thread is full of people who have said they are loving this drama, me included, so it seems like people are enjoying it just fine.
I admit that the reason I chose to watch this drama while it was still on the air was specifically because of the ML, but he is not the reason I have stayed with it. Every episode keeps me on the edge of my seat and anxiously awaiting the next episode because I’m excited to see what will happen next. Ultimately, this is what matters to me about a drama. Even if there are things I could nitpick, I do not see this drama or its writing as a mess. It’s fine if you do, but I don’t happen to agree.

My First assumption; When have you ever seen a drama ending at the 12th episode? Everyone can see this drama needed more episodes than that.
It won’t have a second part although many things will be left unanswered on those two final episodes.
I highly doubt they will cover everything with episode 11 and 12th only.
The ONLY reason this drama made it so far it was bc of the cute/hunk guy bc even the FL wasn’t the best one for this role. She tried really hard to fit the role, but some scenes she seemed so ''out of place? Her parts were mainly done by a stunt double, and don’t tell me you didn’t noticed that. lol
But of course, that’s me/myself and I opinion. I respect your opinion, and I hope you respect mine. Let’s agree on not to agree, and just let it go…

I personally love the drama, I’m loving the FL, the character is strong and intelligent without resorting to abuse, the leads are written well as capable police. I’ve watched every episode twice, once before subtitles and again once the subtitles are finished, I hope everyone will give it a chance, it’s very well done.

I could make you a list of examples if you’d really like me to, there are plenty. There are some dramas, like ‘A Piece of Your Mind’ that actually had their episode total cut down to 12 after originally planning for 16, but I believe ‘Happiness’ was always intended to be only 12 episodes. If I’m being completely honest, there are a lot of dramas that I wished ended with just 12 episodes. Sometimes those last few episodes just lead to unnecessary and manufactured drama. Other than the fact that I wonder how they will find a cure so quickly in Happiness, I’m not sure I need a whole lot more of the drama between the residents in the apartment building. I will wait until after seeing all 12 eps to decide if I am satisfied with the outcome.
As for the FL, I had never seen her in anything before, but I ended up being a big fan. I think she is great in this, and I have seen her doing plenty of her own stunts in the behind-the-scenes videos. But that’s just me.
You have to observe the more serious kick ■■■ scenes she’s supposedly doing (the one where she was fighting in the gym) I pay attention and can see better those things since I have seen [B] actors/actress filming a movie myself/with my own eyes, bc Like I said before my daughter was working as PA in several movies. But anyway, she was fantastic in [W] or wait a second… maybe like I did, you didn’t recognized her? I didn’t know it was her until I checked her page and the drama W again.
IF you haven’t seen [W] please do watch that one drama that as fake as it was, I totally fell in love with it. I have nothing but praises of her acting in that one.

You know why that really happens? Why it was cut down? For several reasons but MAIN one reason, that the drama lost the point of interest of its audience, and they rather cut the episodes, than face the loss of its audience/viewers, and turning the drama into a ‘‘flop.’’
Maybe it won’t apply to these types of k-dramas, but loosing the BUDGET/Investors is another reason.
The one that has become the most important reason here is, the fact that we had a highly contagious virus that was a death threat to the actors/actress, and they had to abruptly stopped in mid session of filming whatever was been filmed during those trying times.
I haven’t seen that and never really planned to, even though I ended up liking her a lot in Happiness.
I know that ‘A Piece of Your Mind’ had its episode count reduced because of poor ratings - it started off bad and only got worse as it went on (even though I really liked that drama too), unlike Happiness whose ratings have gone up every week. Most of the 12-episode dramas were intended to be 12 and only 12, just like Happiness.
I know a lot of productions have been halted/postponed because of Covid. It’s unfortunate, and it seems like another wave is hitting the industry in SK right now.
Will be watching episode 11 of Happiness tonight, as they have gotten the subs nearly complete really quickly today. Can’t wait.
