How to communicate to watcher opinion

Hey guys, I am really disappointed to the way you guys reply to my question. Last time, I sent a question about Running Man show. Why is the sub for that show slowly? Do you guys not interested in that show? And I was waiting 1-2 weeks, it still hasnt have sub yet. That was all my curious about that show, and I made a topic for that. After that I got a reply from the subber, and in that reply back, he complains that show is hard to sub, and it is too long. Okay I can understand and feel sorry to him, but have one thing make me dont like it much. He said “f you want somewhere else to sub it, go look at another website” go look at another website, is he meaning I should get the hell out this website?
Man, when you guys made this website that is mean you guys step in a business, you guys need more people know about this web, and more watchers, so you guys should say something make other people want to stay, not leave and give a bad cmt.

And that is all things I want to say to that subber " babyinspiritestar1"

Hey

I am sorry if you have to wait for the subs so long and i am sure you will get a response from the viki staff soon.
But you should know that we as the community do the subs and segmenting. If the subs are too slow it’s not the fault of viki.
And if ppl start complaining about the subs it’s annoying for the ppl who work so much .
The subber you talked to is someone who volunteers a lot on viki. This person already said why it’s so slow. Probably because there are less subber and it’s too much work.
Beside that Viki is the only website where you get to watch dramas that fast, on the same day when it’s aired full subbed , perfectly segmented.

The answer you got might annoy you , but if you complain about the work of someone else , it’s normal that the person reacts like that. The subber just gave you a tip. If you think that the subs are too slow , you have the opportunity to watch somewhere else.
As a volunteer on viki , I just want to say that ppl should respect our work , or the person you talked to.

Again. We as the community are volunteering . The response was a tip to give you the opportunity to watch your favorite show somewhere else.

Thanks.

I think what babyspirit meant was that here in viki no one is payed by our work, we do it because we love the website, the community and the dramas, shows etc. Korean subbers are extremely busy, even if they were hundreds probably still wouldn’t be enough, variety shows like running man are extremely hard to sub because people talk too fast, or at the same time and in a variety show like running man is normal that takes long. Managers, subbers, seggers and all the team try their best in their free time, so what she meant was that if you really want to see it fast, there might not be other choice but to watch it somewhere else. The channel is not abandoned so they will do it at their time, and viki besides get the license has very little to do with the subs, so you can’t blame them either.

First, I’m a girl. Not a man. Just saying since some people might get confused cause HC is my profile pic. And when I said to go to another website, I was never intending to tell you to get the hell out of this website. Also, we volunteers also want to have a speaking in this. We can’t just let viewers complain about how subbers and segmenters are so “slow”. That’s why I replied to you in the other discussion.

Hi there,

I know babyinspiritestar1 won’t mean something rude or nasty. Please dont take offense of how she wrote it.
When we “communicate” with someone else on cyber world, sometimes we don’t get what the other person meant at first place.
You could actually ask for her explanation instead (and I see that she did - on her post above).

Secondly, if you want to lodge a complaint, you should address it to viki staff, not the volunteers.
Volunteers don’t get paid for doing this. They do this out of love, their passion to share something they love to others who don’t understand the origin language. They do this using their own free time. They could have done something else but they offer their free time here so more people can enjoy the drama/show.

Some channels don’t have a lot of volunteers and most of the time it is discouraging for the remaining volunteers in the team, feeling that they are working alone.

You ask, why sometimes the sub progression of a particular channel is very slow?
It’s because they lack of volunteers. That’s it.
If you know someone who knows the origin language, you could ask the person(s) to join the team.
Or you could ask around here, on the forum. Who knows, someone might help the team because that.

: )
