Hello I’m Wafaa, kinda hard to spell for people who don’t speak Arabic I know. I’m from the Middle-East, Lebanon, and I’m passionate about Taiwanese and Korean dramas and I also adore the Japanese amine, though I can’t find some of the best over here on viki which is too bad because the viki community is just great. I adore the taiwanese drama Autum’s concerto(which is not full on the new viki) and also the K-drama missing you/I miss you.

For learning Korean on my own I really like http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/ The main features like grammar explanations with podcasts are for free, but you can order additional workbooks, if you like.

Challenge to Korean learners

Hi. Soooo, I’m determined to get something “practical” out of my drama addiction, and I came up with the bright idea of learning Korean. And that’s not all… I want to learn it in 6 months. I got the idea from Adam Wik’s blog, and I wanted to try it myself, because I spent 2 years on and off dabbling in Mandarin and still can’t speak any better than a 2 year old, so I plan to tackle Korean first (which seems “easier”), and then use the skills and practices I gain during the next 6 months and appl…

Funny Korean words

There is lot of Korean words which sounds very funny to foreign people. Which words you pick? My words: ppalli ppalli (quickly) means in Finnish testicle testicle (palli palli) and hal-abeoji (grandfather) is so funny too even it has no meanings in my language.
