2/ I’m new and I want to segment.
Segmenting (= syncing subtitles with the video) is different from subtitling (= translating with words).
To learn how to segment and be able to segment a drama, enroll to NSSA segmenting academy by clicking on the Subtitle team tab, then scroll down and click on "Apply here":

Or enroll in Seg 101 segmenting academy:

See 2. What can I do to contribute? for more.
3/ I’ve enrolled already in the NSSA segmenting academy and where can I train?
Just wait that a NSSA teacher contacts you. The waiting time is around 4-6 months before a teacher can be available.
Their program waitlist where you can check where they’re at before your name: https://nssacademy.weebly.com/applicant-list.html
In the meanwhile, you can learn the segmenting guides available on their website, watch their videos on their Viki page and train by yourself here. You can also either contribute by transcribing or editing (see 2. What can I do to contribute? to have a short description of what you could do concretely).
It’s no use sending messages to segment a drama before your graduation from this segmenting program, people will automatically guide you to this NSSA academy again.

7/ I can’t watch this show / I can’t watch from ep 5. Do I have to contribute or subtitle on this show to be able to watch it?
Either it’s:
- a show not licensed in your region, so you won’t be able to contribute on it even if you’re a team member and even if you have a Viki Pass. The restriction is geographic.
- a show for Viki Pass Standard members. Either you purchase a Viki Pass, either you do 3000 contributions on any show (see 1. Perks from contributing).
- a show for Viki Pass Plus members. If you live in the Americas (North, Central, South), either you purchase a Viki Pass Plus (not Standard), either you do 3000 contributions on any show (see 1. Perks from contributing). People not in this region can’t buy Viki Pass Plus.
