Searching Previous Episodes' Subtitles?

Hi,

I’m wondering if there’s a way to search previous episodes’ subtitles for reference and consistencies? I’m translating a drama from English to Arabic and I want to check how something was translated in previous episodes. The problem is I don’t know when/if it showed up before. I’m searching the English sub to look at the available Arabic sub.

I’ve started a spreadsheet for transliteration and foreign words, but I didn’t start on this drama from the beginning. I’m trying to decide whether to transliterate a foreign word with explanation or just translate it directly. However, I want to stay consistent with what was done in previous episodes.

Is there a quick way to do this?

There’s not really a “quick” way to do it, other than going through previous episodes’ subtitles. Depending on the channel, using the bulk translator might help a little - like it it’s an official channel, you can search the entire episode at once instead of part by part.

You’re just going to have to old-fashioned open up the subs (whether in the sub editor or bulk translator) and ctrl+F for the English word; welp…
