I’ve checked. That show either isn’t running yet or it hasn’t been granted license to be shown on Viki. You can see that because there are no full episodes, only trailers.

Personally I find it ridiculous that the viewers expect to know the reason why we cannot volunteer. Then eventually you get the what is a good enough reason?
“I want to watch a Kdrama/read a book” -> You can watch it when you’re done.
“I’m sick” -> I work when I’m sick too, take some medication and go for it.
“A friend is coming over” -> Can’t she/he come later?
“I need to go to an appointment or whatever you have to go to” -> Can’t you say you are late/ move it or cancel?
“I have to clean/cook.” -> You can do so later.
"I have to pick up my kids or bring them to school -> Ask the other parent!
“I have to go to work/ I am still at work” -> Can’t you tell your boss that you take an hour off or go home earlier?
Etc. Etc.
I only notify some team members from time to time when I can’t make it… specially when I’m a CM so they know I cannot contact Viki right away when there is a bug going crazy or something.
I don’t know but I find it hilarious sorry
My god, they won’t die if they watch an episode 3 days later or even a week later.
I had the same problem with the same people who always ask the same thing about 1 drama but the tone is more agressive each time, it’s like harassment.
In the beginning, it’s bugging your mind when your read them but after a while not looking at them, you feel better until you totally ignore them.
Don’t bother yourself with people who are deaf, no matter how many times you will repeat yourself, even if you yell, they will never hear you. What’s the point of talking to people who don’t want to hear what you have to say ? Just don’t hear them neither. Don’t wear you out. It’s a discussion between dogs and cats. If you understand this, it’s the beginning of freeing yourself from bad influence that people have on your mind. Don’t let them tint your mood People aren’t always very mature, they may act like spoiled children when they see great treats.
Good luck to subbers, editors, moderators, channel managers, everyone here who do their best. Don’t allow deaf viewers to bring you down, because for people who can hear you, you are wonderful, amazing, fanstatic, formidable people And that’s all you should have in mind.
Agreed! The subs are not up yet because they are not up yet.
Practically I resolve persistent naggers by copy-pasting a statement saying it takes 5 hours to sub one 1-hour episode and it’s all volunteer work. So far this has been working like a charm. They need to be informed how difficult the process of subbing is and this I feel most quickly illustrates just that.
Or maybe I haven’t met the hard-core naggers yet.
I feel like dying. So exhausted
Like I am not the most physically fit person and it’s such a struggle to just get in the prescribed number of study hrs. I won yesterday and the day before by using sleep deprivation. But today’s class was I don’t remember anything. I feel lightheaded and I am having attention issues which all come from sleep deprivation.
Meanwhile… when I really can’t rest because I’m too tired and literally could not pick myself up top wash so I subtitled @.@ caught errors in a ep already at 100%.
See some comments that say subtitles take forever. Timely subtitles blah blah blah.
I mean what am I supposed to do?
I think I am heading to an unhappy place
I don’t understand why whinning affects people so much. Aren’t you a volunteer? Were you given a schedule? Did viki added a speed policy that I am not aware of?
I know people are waiting anxiously for the subs. I am also a viewer and I know how many times per day I check for that 97%. I am not happy when I am way behind with my subs, because I understand the frustration of those who depend on me, but I don’t see why I should explain. Or oblige.
I think it was that one viewer who is extremely sweet so I tried for her I tried for my channel manager who is extremely anxious for her channel. There’s nothing “wrong with the show.” It just happens to be made up of adults more than high school/college kids.
I must be retarded or something. I saw this indifferent ignorant comment and really wanted to curse that person out then realized what am I doing? It’s only television and went to sleep.
I am really really slow, but meticulous. One show is so bad the other editors are waiting on me until it is fixed properly.
So I will edit the episodes (3). Make a viki acquaintance who loves loves to zap timed comments a moderator and just do my thing. Dead tired and I only can come here during meal breaks. I’m really fast too.
Dear Sophie,
you’re not doing anyone a favour and nobody is going to thank you if you wear yourself out, if your studies suffer and if your body becomes unfit. If at the end you’re so sick and tired that you quit, then viki will lose. So isn’t it better to manage yourself and do whatever you can comfortably do?
Please take care of yourself, make yourself a schedule and smile. We love you.
Rest, Sophie. No one’s going to die just because they can’t watch their favourite dramas immediately, nor go through any kind of existential crisis or whatever trauma. They can learn a bit more patience, and they should. Patience is a good trait to cultivate.
…and, along with what @irmar and @moonandstars had said, don’t forget that working on Viki is a marathon, not a sprint.
I’d like to add that sleep depriviation is trully bad for your health, I think you should never forget that you and your health comes first before anything else. Sitting for prolonged hours are just as bad. I know you mean well when you do contribute to viki, but it’s volunteering and we all do it for 1)fun, 2)community spirit, 3)global friendship and 4)learning. Viki shouldn’t take over your life and let you suffering, you need to be strict with yourself and forget totally about any whiners, they will not contribute to your life quality, I wish you well and stay healthy
::blames school:: never stayed up for viki actually. Ever. I was really strapped and then lost it when I read some stupid comment.
Uhm… From what you’ve said, you do viki first and then have to lose sleep to complete school work. But if it weren’t for viki, maybe you’d have done school work earlier, thus no need to sleep late. So… you’re staying up nights because of viki after all. LOL!
P.S. I’m preaching to you, but I often do the same. It’s not school in my case, but other equally necessary and boring things like updating the company website, preparing paperwork for tax declaration, cleaning the house, dyeing my hair, repairing clothes)
Re: making subtitles larger.
Have you tried another browser? Sometimes there are differences. Otherwise, your only option zooming the browser window. This will also make subtitles bigger.
Hy, I want to ask why didn’t translate last fiwe episode “Bednaya Nastya” on Serbian language?
Why don’t you go to the drama’s page, find out the Moderator’s name for that language, and write a personal message to her?
She (or he) is the only one who knows the answer but if you post here she might not see it.
If the Moderator doesn’t answer your message, then write to the Channel Manager (the name is on the central page of the drama, on the upper left, just below the title.
(Most of the time the answer is not enough interested subtitlers)
Thank you so mutch
Where do you go to sub? I can speak Korean and English and I am learning simplified mandarin. I want to help others to view eng subs but I am new to viki and I don’t know where to go to sub it.

Is a good starting point for starters. Good luck.
