If we are talking about camping and feel like going outside is a bad idea, Viki has shows that might be perfect (that is when you aren’t working on shows).
How about?

Sadly the Viki original Camping Club isn’t on viki anymore otherwise that would have been perfect now during summer (but we can request it for the fall) Yes, I had to look what we can binge that is related to camping after I had QCd one of the shows I’m working on. There really is something about just about anything you want on Viki.
Oh, I found this one too that I might watch as it seems like an easy show to lazily watch.
I’m teleporting and maybe some eggs as my chickens are more productive than ever.
I’m curious about your garden, what is growing there at the moment? My lettuce and potatoes have never grown as good as it does at the moment.
This year I have a variety of Chilis - aneheim, serano, etc., tomatoes, swiss chard, yellow bush beans, and green onions. My squash has not come up yet, but we had a late start this year. We have such a short growing season that many plants won’t grow to maturity before the first frost.
Hello everyone! I chose the fox! I adore the mystery surrounding these creatures, whether mythical or not. Like a fox, I was just wandering around and forgot to post a message here.
I chose Eagle. I am just fascinated by them. I am also quite resilient and independent, so I guess it is right to be in that cabin. About my goal, just let it be fun. Maybe Lookout Point, idk. I forgot to join earlier so let me see how much can I spread my wings.
Hello campers
I take a little break from segging just to share our family recipe for French pancakes. You can guess most families here have their own recipe. This one is mine.
You need: 250 g of flour, 4 eggs, 1 pinch of salt, 1/2 a liter of milk (I use semi-s.).
(Plus butter for the saucepan)
1- Pour the flour in a salade bowl and make a hole
2- Mix the eggs with the salt in a bowl
3- Add the eggs mixed to the flour
4- Mix gently until you get an equal mixture
5- Add the milk little by little and mix
6- Once the mixture is done, leave it 1 hour
Bonus: You can add a special ingredient depending on your taste to give it extra flavor. In my family, we usually add rhum.
Some friends add vanilla, lemon zest, orange blossom water, or else…
Once it’s ready, you need to heat a saucepan (I prefer on gaz stove, but any can do), with a bit of butter (some use sunflower oil - I’m not a big fan, but it’s okay). Then, you pour some of the mixture in the saucepan (not too much, it’s not a pancake, it should be thin). Once it’s golden, you should turn it so that it’s nice and good on both sides.
There you go. Now, you can add whatever you like on it. Tonight, I added a bit of suggar with a baked apple (with cinamon) and vanilla icecream.
We had a stellar response since last Thursday with 28 (!!) of you signing up for cabins. Welcome to all our new campers!
Here’s our current cabin breakdown, if you’d like to see:
Otter cabin = 20.5% (5 new Otters!)
Fox cabin = 36% (10 new Foxes!)
Eagle cabin = 23.4% (9 new Eagles!)
Bear cabin = 20.1% (4 new Bears!)
A gentle reminder: If you’d like to earn a special cabin badge please make sure you have signed up for a specific Cabin ( ) and contribute at least 100 points by the end of the Challenge.
Note: You do not need to sign up for a cabin to receive Trail badges! Those will awarded automatically based on your total points earned throughout the duration of the Challenge.
Good luck to everyone as we head into the final stretch! All the details can be found here.
Since we’re sharing recommendations, I have to bring up my all-time favorite: Till the End of the Moon
It’s a xianxia epic starring Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu: a mortal woman gets sent back in time to stop a cursed prince from turning into a demon lord, and ends up falling for him along the way. Tragic fated love, gorgeous cultivation-world visuals, and one of the best OSTs I’ve heard in a C-drama. If you’re into historical dramas with a fantasy edge, this one is unmissable.
Also, apricots are at their absolute best right now, so it’s the perfect time for a tarte aux abricots (apricot tart). So fresh and juicy this time of year, nothing beats it.
Basic shortcrust pastry, quick almond cream (ground almonds, sugar, butter, an egg, splash of vanilla), then just halve and pit a bunch of apricots and pack them on top. Bake at 180°C for about 35-40 min till golden. Dust with powdered sugar once it’s cooled a bit. Tastes even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side ngl
Thanks for the recommendation, @rumblenzo! I’ve been wanting to get into C-dramas and this might just be the one to kick things off!
Your apricot tart looks incredible, and looks to be easily adaptable for anyone who is gluten-free. By chance do you have a recipe with exact measurements? I’m afraid I’m not very good at “eye-balling” when it comes to baking!
Yesss, you won’t regret it! Fair warning, it takes a couple episodes to get used to the world-building since it’s proper high fantasy xianxia, but once it clicks it’s SO worth it.
Here’s the gluten-free version with exact measurements: 250g gluten-free flour blend, 125g cold butter cut into small cubes, a pinch of salt, and 1 egg. Add 1 to 2 tbsp cold water only if the dough feels too dry to come together.
Rub the butter into the flour with your fingers till it looks like coarse crumbs, mix in the egg, then add water bit by bit only if needed. It’ll be a bit more fragile than regular pastry, so if it cracks while rolling, just patch it back together or press it straight into the tin with your fingers. Chill for 30 min before baking. Same bake time as the regular version, 180°C for 35 to 40 min with the almond cream and apricots on top.
Warning taken, @rumblenzo. And thank you so much for the recipe - I really appreciate you writing out the exact measurements for me. I’ll let you know how it turns out!
Hello everyone! I stumbled across an interesting fun fact about eagles and thought it might be fun to share, especially since hawks have also been on our minds lately!
While the eagle is one of the most recognizable birds in the world, did you know that the iconic piercing “eagle” cry that you hear in movies and TV is actually the call of a red-tailed hawk? An actual eagle cry sounds more like a high-pitched chirp. Fascinating!
