Thoughts for you/us to ponder

Something that might interest you, dear @angelight313_168

In 2020, it was reported that a Christian relic – a part of the True Cross on which the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified – had been brought to the chapel of the Russian cruiser Moskva.

True or not, you just don’t mess with these things.

Anyway, 2 years later, the ship was used to attack Snake Island during the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. The fact that it was carrying a very important Christian symbol of self-sacrifice made no difference.

And just 2 days ago, we all saw it on the news how the cruiser was hit and sunk by the opposing force, its modern defensive systems having remained completely idle.

Moral of the story: The Lord Almighty sent His only Son to teach us about Love, not War.

Summary

Thank you for sharing this with all of us. The son or the Father in Heaven would never be part of any war that destroys life, humanity, especially the innocent children of the world. We can say we got the proof of that, and let’s just hope they get the message, and stop this senseless war once and for all.
I have to add this here, too. We can’t blame all Russians for this terrible war. In the border line of Mexico there are a lot of Russians that are seeking asylum here bc some of them have relatives that live in Los Angeles, Texas, Las Vegas, and even up somewhere in the mountains.
I was watching the TV, and a Ukrainian girl and her family were consoling a Russian family bc they are not able to cross the border as easily as Ukrainian are able to bc of a Law that Ex-President Trump made, and President Biden and the Governor Hochul are trying to change.

As I was watching the news, the Russian lady with her 17 year old son was in tears, and so was the Ukrainian girl, and I started sobbing when I heard her say I had to leave Russia because my son is 17 and at 18 they will force him to go the war in Ukraine. She continued… his father is from Ukraine and he’s over there saving his parents, but he made sure we were first safe here at the border. How can I allow my son to go to a war to kill his own family? All his cousin, uncles, from the father side of the family are fighting in Ukraine. Seeing a young 17 year old boy crying, and a distraught mother broke my heart. I am also a mother, and I felt her pain to the extent that I started sobbing. Russian or Ukrainian are victims of a monster that have absolutely any remorse for the pain he’s causing in the world.
We may have some Russians that are backing up this war, but they do that because they are monsters that have no feelings for the pain they may cause to others, but I still can’t/won’t judge them All Russians as evil.
Jesus died in the cross for ALL of us, not only the good ones or one specific race, his pain and crucifixion was for ALL of us which means He LOVES us all equally and Unconditionally, good or bad, black or white, it may sound ridiculous, but I know in my heart this is all true.

If we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior, we also need to accept that we are all brothers and sister, and we should try to love one another Just like Jesus loved us. BUT BIGGER is the love of the FATHER for us, That HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to die for our sins, so we can have eternal Life.

You Are an Example

Today’s Scripture

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
(Matthew 5:16, ESV)

TODAY’S WORD

You are God’s representative in this earth. When you follow the Word of God and allow Him to work in your life, you are letting your light shine. When you are good to people and show them kindness, even when they don’t deserve it, you are shining your light. When you smile and keep a good attitude, even when things don’t go your way, you are setting an example so that people will glorify God in heaven.

Notice this Scripture says, “they will see your good works.” People aren’t impressed by our knowledge or what we say; people are drawn to God by our good works. Today, ask the Lord to show you ways to share His goodness with others. Look for opportunities to let your light shine everywhere you go—at home, at work, in the grocery store, at the gym. There’s always an opportunity to be an example of God’s goodness!

A Prayer for Today

"Father, thank You for choosing me to be Your representative. Show me how to let my light shine. Help me be an example of Your love and grace everywhere I go in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Good morning and do have yourself a wonderful Wednesday and may God bless you more abundantly!

This story is part of the sorrow of living in a broken world. It is so difficult to deal with because it means acknowledging that life is so full of sadness and helping each other to bear it.

However, without a source of hope to look to, living in sorrow constantly makes life dark and unbearable.

There are so many people who put their hope in political schemes, financial power, and national identities that dehumanize other human beings. If hope is only the size of us, and not bigger and more solid than us, we will never be people who can stand up against sorrow, ours or others. We will only have two options: sink under the weight of life or live in denial and let others sink.

where have all the children gone? Long time passing

Before you buy into conventional medical advice that suggests you sit still or get surgery to deal with joint pain, try functional training. You might find you have the power to touch your toes, do that squat, or even stand on your hands all on your own, and without pain.

I have a friend who is 77 and since her 30s or less she had backpain, doctor told her that she has to walk daily and she did and since then the pain went away and she can still walk today for several hours, she does also senior exercise and swimming.
Problems sometimes arise with our jobs, like all day sitting which is really bad for our bodies… the best way to start a day is with stretching, I think, you don’t even need weights.

yes with me crocheting like I have been doing, my hips scream at me(heheheh) so yes walking is the best, I did get some of those lifts to put in my shoes, and seems to help a lot, so I have decided to walk or some form of exercise, stretching, yoga, daily, and has helped with the hips and back. btw turning 77 in a few months, just saying. a can of beans is sufficient to use as a weight, those stretchy bands are good too
