Hello, I speak several languages but I am not fluent enough to try to subtitle. I can understand broad meaning but I miss the subtleties. My main language is English. Oh yea!, I’ve been learning Korean so I don’t have to depend on subtitles. lol (Long way to go but I am picking up quite a bit.) I am interested in segmenting. 30 years ago I worked on video editing but that was back in the VHS days. (I am revealing how old I am lol). My main occupation was IT. I am retired now so I have lots of time.

Segmenting is fun! And the training is awesome, the teachers are very skilled and patient.

Written Spanish is entirely phonetic, each letter you read has a sound. Catalan (like English), is not. Spanish has five vowel sounds. … Catalan uses consonant clusters whereas Spanish requires a vowel sound between consonant sounds (most of the time).
I have also edited in Russian and Yoruba. Yoruba is a member of the Volta-Niger branch of the Niger-Congo family of languages. It is spoken by about 28 million people in southwest Nigeria, Benin, Togo, the UK, Brazil and the USA. It is one of the four official languages of Nigeria, along with English , Hausa and Igbo.

I’m interested in translating from English to German. My job education bases on foreign languages (mainly English), I’ve been doing customer support in English for several years and I proofread published books, stories and term papers for acquaintances before. Therefore I have a knack for orthography, grammar and writing style. Furthermore I’m majoring in Japanese at university which doesn’t qualify me yet to translate it directly, but to understand written text at least to some extend. Translating is something I always liked to do, however, I didn’t extend this interest to dramas yet and relied on books, lyrics etc until now.
I’m open towards any projects, I’m able to access the latest dramas and as a university student I have quite some time to spend. Many thanks in advance.

While looking up the list in order to give you the link, I happened to notice one of my team members who changed username and her name was highlighted on the list. marked “not found, the url doesn’t work”. I wrote the NSSA representative telling her about it, and she told me they were ready to eliminate this person since it was impossible to find her.
It was a crazy coincidence that I happened to see this, since I haven’t looked at that list since taking the course myself, which was three or more years ago!

Hello, I would like to start subtitling again. I stopped when I got too busy with school, but since school is out for now, I have more time on my hands
