Actually, I don’t really know what I want to do right now. I’m hoping to find a friendly mentor I can work under, someone who can guide me and help me learn more about translation. I want to understand how my favourite dramas get translated and made understandable for people.
What language do you speak? From there we can see who you can join. If its Dutch, I would love to take you along. But other languages i cant help you with. For now i would suggest you make some sample videos so you can practice and have something to show when you apply to various projects. Also, it doesn’t hurt to sent your profile along.

Joining the contributor discord is a very good place to start looking for people in your language community and dropping information like the language you would like to translate to here helps people in your community find you as well^^ And like Angij has mentioned: creating sample videos helps you familiarise with viki’s subtitle tool and shows moderators for your language your skills in translating when you apply as a subtitler through the project finder!

Can someone help me, please? I was added to the subtitler team, but I still can’t access the show. It keeps saying, ‘This show is not available in your region.’ I’ve already logged out and back in, cleared my cache and cookies, tried different browsers and devices, etc., but nothing’s worked. What am I missing?
@im_nana11 According to your profile, you are not added as a subtitler in any channel. You should write to the moderator of your language and ask to be added.
If you have been added and still don’t have access, it could be because you don’t have a pass, and you need one for certain dramas.
Hi, just wondering if Korean drama teams still look for people to help with Korean captions? I’ve reached out to several channel managers for ongoing/upcoming Korean dramas and have not heard back. Since there are very limited Korean-to-English positions, I’ve been doing Korean caption, but my last project was a while back, so not sure if things have changed.
Ohh, I see… because my name shows up in the ‘All Team’ list, but it’s not in the ‘Subtitler’ list. My moderator also said that she already added me to the team. Thanks for the explanation, really appreciate it. 
Actually, I speak Bengali, so I’m not really sure what I can do yet or how to create those sample-type videos.

Now all the dramas come pre-subbed in English.
The team needs only Translation Editors.
