Hello everyone!
I’d like to get back to subtitling after being inactive here for the past few years. My language pair is English-Finnish and I moderated and subtitled several shows back when I was more active in 2023 (mostly BL but I’m open to other genres as well in order to get back into it). I’ve studied translation and have done some translation and subtitling work professionally over the years.

Welcome to Viki! Nowadays, you can only be added as a subtitler to a show if there is a moderator in your language. And there are also restrictions to whom can be added as a moderator. So you need to find a Turkish moderator. Then you can write to them and ask them if they have a show where you can participate.
You can also write to the CM (channel manager) of a show to express your interest and ask if they might know a Turkish moderator who might want to work on the show with you, but remember that they cannot add you as long as there is no Turkish moderator.
Another thing, more and more shows are presubbed in several languages and, in the best case, the volunteers only get to edit them. Some shows nowadays also have Turkish subtitles. This means you cannot be a subtitler on those shows.
In general, there are a lot of changes going on on Viki and even we are not really sure what they are up to. But I hope you can find a Turkish moderator and that you can enjoy being a volunteer while that is still an option.

Credo che questo vecchio post dia delle inutili speranze a molti, ora tutti i drama arrivano presubbati e hanno bisogno solo di editor che su Viki non mancano. Dovresti conoscere una lingua davvero di nicchia e vedere se il Channel Manager del drama si fida ad affidarti la traduzione senza Moderatore della lingua prescelta, cosa che di solito infrange le regole. Mi dispiace!

, I just saw your post, and hope it’s okay that I reply.
So there isn’t one specific page where you can go to find other contributors directly.
The best way to find active moderators is to check the “Subtitle team” page of recent shows/movies, but not so recent that they are still “on-air” (because nowadays a team is only formed after it has finished airing).
I just quickly found 2 active Turkish moderators that way:
So you could try and contact one of them, and see if they have something you can work on,
many projects do require Viki Pass, so if you don’t have Viki Pass they may not have a project for you, but maybe they could at least put you in touch with another Turkish moderator who would be able to help you.

All three are optional profile decorations. Click your avatar (top right) => Preferences => Profile tab, and you’ll find them there:
• Website link: Any external link you want to share (blog, social media, etc.).
• Profile Header: The wide banner image at the top of your profile page.
• User Card Background: The background of the small card that pops up when someone clicks your username.
None of them are required to start contributing, so no worries if you leave them empty!
