What kind of manager is vikisubteam

He doesn’t have a single segment, he doesn’t respond by line, he doesn’t do anything by message, but he is still the manager. I was looking for answers and I’m sharing what I got. It doesn’t follow Viki guidelines at all. If anyone has another explanation please let me know.

I’ve been on Viki since 2011, I’m constantly applying, but they never chose me, they didn’t even give me a chance for a single film, that’s why I don’t work much. What should I do, for badges, and they give others one drama after another.
And constantly one and the other. Be careful, I have nothing against the colleagues I work with and I apologize in advance if I am wrong. But it seems to me more and more that the ones who get constant dramas are none other than the staff, today I’m here, tomorrow it’s her, the day after tomorrow it’s her and so on in a circle. And when they can’t do something, they put a vikisubteam as the manager.

Vikisubteam is a staff account. Generally speaking, staff accounts don’t have to volunteer in order to get a channel. They may become a CM for several reasons, such as, license issues.

Even though Viki has never made any official announcement about when Vikisubteam might become a CM, we have seen several patterns so far:

  1. It becomes a CM when there are licence issues.
  2. After a certain period of time, Vikisubteam will be removed from the CM position and volunteer CMs will be appointed as usual.
  3. You can not work under Vikisubteam.

Another scenario is of older Viki shows with inactive CMs. When a CM becomes inactive, Viki might place Vikisubteam as a placeholder CM until a volunteer CM is chosen, either from the original moderators of the channel or another applicant.

To know if somebody is part of Viki staff or not, you simply need to go to their Badges page and look for this badge:

If you see this, that means that’s a staff account, otherwise, that’s simply another volunteer.

vikisubteam (staff) becomes a manager until the drama license is determined, some of the dramas will get a manager who applied during the application process. Managers are not always the same, I think you got it because you waited a long time to become a manager :grinning:. It all depends on the license and whether one manager is capable of doing the same.
