Self care - what do you do to stay mentally healthy?

@mirjam_465
Sedation doesn’t seem like the solution to me

Thank you, and you have a great insight of the situation bc it so happens the kid after the sedation stays quiet for a day in a half, but when it wears off; things gets even worst. I have to be calling cops, paramedics when he hurts the grandma/family. I don’t know how they can take it, but sadly lately I keep away bc the kid loves to bite hard and suck/DRINK the blood. I use to calm him down but it 's not working anymore.:cry::cry:

I just don’t like reading very long paragraphs :laughing: it has nothing to do with my vision, and my vision is good, it is very well known, prolonged hours on a computer and phones isn’t healthy!

So this place near me does like a almost 2 hour full massage pedicure and it’s not that expensive I did that today and did gel polish - which I have never done! It was so NICE! I have been trying to get out and get massages - it so good for your circulation and blood flow and lymphatic system

That sounds like a good time :smile:

Well it’s part of the pedicure! And they are doing your toes also. But after the gel polish she massaged my feet AGAIN! LOVELY!

Something that I realize lately: I enjoys traveling.
It doesn’t have to be a long trip or something, maybe just take the road to a little town makes me feel super relaxed and calm, just to watch the trees, the clouds, the sun, or even the rain.
And it doesn’t have to be like a super expensive trip, even I can make some sandwiches or some snacks, but I enjoy it and I feel like with high battery for another week.

taking a stroll through the park ( greenery and rain is so soothing :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:)
planting and gardening…(watering and watching the sprout growing into a healthy plant with beautiful flowers is so reposeful)

Last night I said yes to an “impromptu” walk with a friend. We saw a HUGE Gator. Talked with some neat people. Walked 4 miles around the beautiful area and made a new friend! I love nature and love strolls

crocheting is a good thing, I have gotten in something called random acts of crochet kindness, you can find it on Facebook, anyway, this has given me something to pass along to others, the stuff is easy to make, this has given me purpose, instead of genealogy all the time, something else to do. and I feel better too, the mind set? GIVING, and a small ministry in itself.

I agree - I was obsessed last year and had BEAUTIFUL flowers! My Zinnias were CRAZY beautiful - I didn’t plant this year! IT was SO much work - but it was fun to watch. Maybe next year.
