I just learnt about the Buryats Culture, their singing is beautiful!! Itâs a part of Russia⌠and Mongolia.
This song is very touching, connect with nature and soulâŚ
Oh thanks for sharing - I love chanting and this reminds me of that a little - folk songs are the best!!!
This is so restful to me!!! Peaceful
Thatâs a really beautiful song, and the quality of her voice is so pure. The sound of those stringed instruments is so soothing.
My beloved ShakaLabbits - who broke up in early 2017 right after releasing their excellent disc âHerâ - have been reborn, kinda, as Muvidat. Singer Uki-san (sheâs spelling it âUquiâ now,) and drummer Mah are the only Labbits in the group, but the groove is very similar.
Theyâre releasing their third disc on Nov 24 (canât wait) but âFog Lightsâ from their second album is a great tune that has a deceptively-ominous beginning:
The lyrics translated to Ei-go are here if youâre interested in the words:

I have wanted so much to sing Amazing Grace but usually I just sing it to myself - maybe someday I will sing it for an audience -
This is a beautiful arrangement
This is so beautiful
@frustratedwriter you might like âThe Prayerâ
I actually have seen both these guys perform but at different times
âThe Prayerâ is so unbelievably beautiful in all its iterations. One of many songs that give me goosebumps every time.
Yes - I love this song!!! Especially all the different arrangements!!!
Song is 3:34 short
Several dramas later, and I can still hear this song.
Josh Groban, one of my favorite vocalists. We played this song at my Momâs funeral. Hearing it still makes me tear up today.

I mentioned this song in another thread, but the more I listen to it, the more achingly beautiful it is to my ears. Hearing them perform it live makes it even more touching.
Here is just a sample of the translated lyrics, since there are no subtitles:
EvĐľn when the sun rises, I pour alcohol
I fall asleep only whĐľn I fill up your void
Even if I tried, in my dreams too
I canât hold your two little hands
If I had called your name out loud, I would have looked back
How many times have you told me itâs okay?
How sick you must have been back then
Itâs my greed to want to go back
I hope youâre happy, just like your name
I sing this song because I want to call your name
I sing this song rather than the lines from a sad movie or book
Now I call your name, which is hard to call now
I call your name, which is hard to call without tears

They think so too!
So, here is my listâŚ
1)
English: I am the thought (imagination) of someone, and someone else thinks of me.
2)
English: Your betrayal, O beloved, has ruined (killed) me.
3)
Speak, for your lips are free (or your lips are able to speak)
For me this song speaks to my soul. And the musical its from is based on one of my favorite books. El ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha.
I love this song!
