Thoughts for you/us to ponder

TMI alert:

We have ‘taken care of business’ in the forest on a couple emergency occasions, either while hiking or on a long drive. Once, a person in our party squatted too close to some stinging nettle, and I got a couple mosquito bites on my cheeks (not the cute cheeks on my face ) It is seriously unpleasant. :confounded:

I don’t think we have Poison Ivy in my Island, but my sister when she was a teenager got poison ivy here in USA when she went on a trip with some friends, and I remember it was very painful, and it took very long before it went away. She tried everything they told her, and nothing would work for her. From that day forward, I avoided walking through any kind of plants. The thought of going through that horrible itching and pain that last days… ughhhh

@my_happy_place

Those ‘‘cheek’’ every time that water hit it must have been a painful experience:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:I’m just glad it never happened to me. I would hold it until I got to a house that’s why I hated the countryside when I was young lol.

@frustratedwriter
Oh, I’m glad i made your day, you got a good dose of medicine bc laughter is the best medicine for healing faster. I hope it brought a smile and laughter to your day.

I can’t speak for how horrible it would be to deal with poison ivy or the stinging nettle (I’ve had that on an arm, and it was bad enough), but having mosquito bites on your bum is no fun either. Every single move you make rubs it, and sitting is so uncomfortable. :unamused::woman_facepalming:

I have old washcloths that I used at one point when toilet paper was nowhere to be found and had to be rationed. I saved a lot of TP that way.

When will common sense in public matters prevail, either in daily life or in policy decisions?

I know, “don’t hold your breath.”

You are very wise. If you can find a way to get on a fast track through law school and then work your way to the top of a respected law firm, you can become the head of the International Court of Justice and solve a few problems . . .

Was this post directed at me? I’ll get right on that. It should only take me a few months, right?:sunglasses::joy:

Did the mail go to the wrong house again? Well, please . . . somebody get busy and show the power elites what common sense is . . .

OUCH! There is a product called ‘Tecnu’ that neutralizes urushiol, the substance that causes an allergic reaction. You have to use it before the reaction gets out of hand though. Once you get a severe allergic reaction, it’s the allergic reaction that causes misery.

I never caught poison oak as a kid even though the woods in the Bay Area is full of the stuff. I figured it was because I didn’t stomp through the underbrush. My sisters never caught it either but my brothers did have slight reactions sometimes. Years later, we were camping up in Siskiyou and setting up a hammock between a couple of trees. When we got home, my son asked me about a rash on his ankles. I looked at it and said, “You know, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say that was poison oak.” We had some Tecnu in the house so I put that on him and it cleared up in an hour.

It’s interesting that the females in my family don’t catch it/react to it but the guys do.

CVD-1 CRUCIAL INFORMATION*

◉ Due to the collapse of the health system, we, the health professionals, have prepared this message for the people

➙ Good luck everyone!
It is better to keep these recommendations, prevention is never too much!
• Sit in the sun for 15-20 minutes
• Rest and sleep for at least 7-8 hours.
• Drink 1 and a half liters of water per day
• All food should be hot (not cold).
➙ Keep in mind that the pH of the crnavrus ranges from 5.5 to 8.5.
So all we have to do to eliminate the v
rus is to eat more alkaline foods, above the acid level of the v*rus.
As;
◉ Bananas, Lime → 9.9 pH
◉ Yellow lemon → 8.2 pH
◉ Avocado - pH 15.6
◉ Garlic - pH 13.2
◉ Mango - pH 8.7
◉ Mandarin - pH 8.5
◉ Pineapple - 12.7 pH
◉ Watercress - 22.7 pH
◉ Oranges - (? ? ? ?)

DO NOT keep this information just for yourself, give it to all your family and friends.

Important Message for all

The hot water you drink is good for your throat. But this crna vrus is hidden behind the paranasal sinus of your nose for 3 to 4 days. The hot water we drink does not reach there. After 4 to 5 days this vrus that was hidden behind the paranasal sinus reaches your lungs. Then you have trouble breathing.
That’s why it is very important to take steam, which reaches the back of your paranasal sinus. You have to kill this vrus in the nose with steam.
At 50°C, this v
rus becomes disabled i.e. paralyzed. At 60°C this vrus becomes so weak that any human immunity system can fight against it. At 70°C this vrus dies completely.
This is what steam does.

One who stays at home should take steam once a day. If you go to the market to buy vegetables, take it twice a day. Anyone who meets some people or goes to office should take steam 3 times a day.

Forward this to all your loved ones.

Steam week
According to doctors, Cvd -1* can be killed by inhaling steam from the nose and mouth, eliminating the Crnavrus. If all the people started a steam drive campaign for a week, the pndmic will soon end*. So here is a suggestion:

  • Start the process for a week morning and evening, for just 5 minutes each time, to inhale steam. If all adopt this practice for a week the deadly Cvid-1 will be erased.
This practice has no side effects either.
So please send this message to all your relatives, friends and neighbours, so that we all can kill this crna v*rus together and live and walk freely in this beautiful world.

        *Thank you*

You are welcome to send this to your known groups / friends.

          *******************
                   **NOW!**
          *******************

This kind of information has been long out!

Out since news of crner got blasted all over the media.

All it takes is one of the leaders of the free world preaching this, instead the leaders of the free world are blindly going down the path of making laws, like history shows they made laws that said slavery is legal.

Stop this madness!!

Doesn’t hurt to take your flowers to someone else.

especially senior citizens, people in your neighborhood, that could do some cheering up or they are sick. so many things to do with the flowers, maybe better than sending a card

A card can do more than we think! For example:

The YMCA I attend has a focus on making it as easy as possible for the elders in my neighborhood to gather together for support and encouragement.

I am technically an elder (well, everyone is always an elder to someone) and qualify for a special program at the Y which was developed especially for Y members and guests over 55. The program is conducted as a partnership with Lifespan, a program that offers an incredible number of resources for the elderly, and it is called the Lily Café, known as the LC.

LC members are always finding and bringing in cards (birthday, holiday, condolence, general, you name it). Some are gorgeous, some are simple. The cards go in a box that anyone can look through and take as many as desired.

A shut-in loves sending cards to people might really enjoy a basket or small box with cards and some pens and stamps. That would save them the work of caring for a plant and then having to discard it if/when it dies.

And I have personally found that people appreciate home-made cards quite a lot.

I know that the things I have remembered all my life are small. IMHO, small thing done with love ALWAYS has a greater impression than a great thing done with money.

yes I do agree, a card at the right time lifts someone spirits. a lot of people sent me a bunch of cards this past 6 weeks, really much needed. lets not forget cards too
