Viki Spanish Bot’s unusual activity on the channel without notice

I just discovered from our Spanish moderator of Fugitive of Joseon whose team has been actively organizing that the subs were filled in by the viki staff without any notice to us.
Please review what was said on this post from the viki staff:

There was a written promise there to the viki community that viki would mark every single subtitle which was auto-translated as an auto-translation, but the viki commitment to transparency has been breeched again. There is no such notification although I discovered that there have been machine translations of English, and French as well.
This channel has been a series of no notification from the very beginning! While the drama was being broadcast and we had a team subbing in multiple languages, the series suddenly disappeared from viki without notice to the team. Due to budget problems, sensitive issues like Joseon kings being portrayed as Zombies, a lead actor having too much negative press, K dramas sometimes do disappear overnight on us!
But then the channel was re-uploaded on viki, again without notice to anyone on the team so we learned about the re-upload probably several months after the fact.
As channel manager, it is only recently that I noticed that there were some episodes not yet completed in Spanish so I asked the remaining Spanish team members if they would kindly re-organize to sub the rest of the series and was gratified by the number of positive responses which rapidly were made. Today we discovered that viki staff must have used some sort of auto translater as the subtitler named in the sub-editor is the same staff person as mentioned on the thread about the French subs being done by viki without notice. There is no way that one staff person subbed multiple episodes in French and Spanish on several dramas within the past few days – we can only conclude that there was auto translation.

This situation is alarming and the worst thing is that the managers can no longer delete what was done by this bot, which in Spanish has already affected many projects that are continuously being subtitled. The worst thing is that in addition to doing it without prior notice, everything is done badly and the editing becomes much more complicated.

At this point it is very sad that Viki is pressuring us to move forward faster, doing a bad job in the languages that they remove or pre-subtitle and also they are already leaving us out little by little and now I find a post in discussions inviting more people to subtitle, how are we going to accept new people if there are no projects to work on? (Want to subtitle? Let people know!)

And the worst thing about these cases is that they are only given to a few people (I’m referring to the Spanish team specifically), who far from being good moderators or even subtitlers, often leave the projects worse than the bot and with thousands of terms in the original language that make the projects tiring to see.
