Hi! I’m looking for filipino dramas to sub in spanish, if anyone knows of channels recruiting please let me know

Hello
I´m looking to help with English to German and/or English to Spanish subtitles, I also have some basic knowledge of Chinese, Japanese and Korean, so that might come into handy aswell. So if anyone needs someone to sub to German or Spanish, I´d love to hear from you and I´ll do my best to help!

Hello everyone!

I’d like to translate from English to Finnish. I just don’t know how . If someone needs it I’m happy to help!

If nobody responds to you here in a few days, go through some of the more famous series to see if they have Finnish moderators, and send them a private message

@azrael_tm86v and @teufelchen_netty_266 need help with dramas.

I would like to help out with dramas. I don’t know how to get started. I only speak English but would like to help out. If someone needs help with something please let me know. I used to work with other teams as a timer years ago so I’m kind of rusty.

You can work as a captioner
One of the jobs is to insert the English in English-speaking dramas.

  1. It’s useful for hearing-impaired people
  2. It’s useful for Other Language viewers who understand English but sometimes have trouble understanding the spoken version, especially if people speak quickly, all together, outside etc.
  3. It’s essential for Other Language teams to translate.

Another job is, when there are already English hard-subs.
Again, this is useful for Other Language teams because they can translate into their language.

In the meanwhile, if you feel like it, you can become a segmenter. With your experience, going through the NSSA training will be a breeze, but you probably do need to take it, as a refresher.
It will just take you much less than the rest of us (it took me more than two months, but of course it wasn’t the only thing I did in life). Because most teams don’t take segmenters if they are not NSSA graduates. (It’s free, by the way, in case you didn’t know)

Here is their segmenting Guide, to give you an idea about the tools and rules followed

Here is the Student Application Form

I have applied to the academy for segmenting, I don’t know how long that will take to get accepted. I’m willing to help any way I can, I just need to know what to do. Thank you for the reply and I will help with what ever needs done. Just let me know what and how to do it.

Many teams need you. Where are you located? Americas or Europe?

Americas! More specifically in the states. I will be happy to help. Just having trouble finding open projects.

I’m asking because there is a project now which badly needs subbers NOT in the States (license problems). But it’s no good for you.

To find open projects, go to fan channels which are still recruiting, not to dramas already airing, and offer your services.
However, on-air dramas need experienced subbers who can turn over the job quickly and efficiently, without the need of too much editing. Therefore, moderators are less likely to take a new person there.
As a start, I recommend looking for older dramas which are not finished subbing because probably most of the team left. Those are desperate for help. If you do help in a couple of these, your “CV” will look better, you won’t be a newbie anymore, and it’s more likely that you get an opening in a new drama.
My friend @mahoula has a list here on Discussions, with all the unfinished dramas needing help. I don’t know whether this list is being updated (look at the last one) but it may give you some ideas on where to look.
