When dramas are first subtitled they might have typos and therefore the team has English Editors and also TE Translation Editors who check for accurate meaning. You can read more here and good luck.

आपको मॉडरेटर की तरफ से जवाब मिलने में थोड़ा समय लग सकता है। आपको कम से कम एक या दो दिन इंतज़ार करना पड़ेगा जवाब मिलने के लिए।
आप एक बार चेक कर लीजिए कि आपने जिस मॉडरेटर को मेसेज भेजा है, क्या वो ऐक्टिव हैं या नहीं। आप उनके recent contributions चेक कर सकती हैं, अगर उन्होंने हाल ही में सबटाइटल्स बनाए हैं, जैसे एक हफ्ते से कम समय में उन्होंने सबटाइटल्स बनाए हैं तो आपको उनसे जवाब जल्द मिल जाएगा। अगर उन्होंने एक या दो महीने पहले सबटाइटल्स बनाए हो, तो शायद जवाब मिलना मुश्किल है, शायद इसी वजह से क्योंकि वे Viki रोज़ ना खोलते हो।

Check out the links I posted. Also as a new subtitler you can work on projects that do not require QC (qualified contributer) with 1000 subtitles segments you become a QT (qualified trainee) and with 3000 you a QC and with 20’000 a Gold QC.
Anyway, see if you can find a project in the Project Finder and write to the Moderators. Make sure you also have a viki account, some here have only a discussions account and perhaps introduce yourself briefly on your viki account since Moderators look up the accounts.

Thanks, this is very helpful. You said that a new subtitler can work on projects that do not require QC but how do I know if the project requires QC ?

A QC is required if you did not purchase a VikiPass and the drama you wanted to join is a VikiPass drama. If you are a QC, Viki will give you the pass as a gift. If you wanted to join such a drama, then you would have to buy the pass first if necessary (until you reach the 3000 subtitles and have the QC).

- Sometimes it is written on the cover page, if you go on the drama and in the dashboard you click “Subtitle Team” and scroll down the page and you’ll see a whole graphic page, in many cases it is written if QC is required.

Very often movies do not require QC, it could also be a regional access thing, if you cannot access it, you cannot subtitle.

Another way is just find French Moderators (of dramas) and introduce yourself and ask if they have a project that you could participate in.
Very often On Air Korean dramas require QC and/or VikiPass some Standard some Plus and teams are formed before the airing date, therefore older projects and/or movies are the easiest to start with.
