Hi Everyone!

I’ve been looking for projects to work on and have applied to a few from the community project finder page, and through direct messages to the language moderators but I’m not having much luck getting responses.

I’m looking for projects translating subtitles from Korean to English/ Spanish, or English to Spanish.

Able to translate korean to english. Open to any korean show. Movie, drama, or variety.

Viki now has eliminated Korean-English translators, they only hire professionals because they want the subtitles to be done quickly.

However all teams need

  1. Korean captioners (you listen to the audio and write the subtitles in Korean. Sometimes the written script is provided, sometimes not, but still you have to check because often director and actors change the script while filming). Very useful for senior people who may be hard of hearing, for people learning Korean who understand more or less but cannot catch everything just by listening, and for Other Language translators who know Korean so they can translate directly into their own language instead of passing through English. Also for the English Translation Editor.
  2. Korean translation editors (you look at the English subtitles and see if you can catch something which was not translated correctly, i.e. the meaning is different, or an important part is missing, or there is a cultural item which needs an explanation note).

I strongly advise you, if you haven’t already done so, to make two sample videos. You can see them on your profile page.
Then find Czech moderators and send them a personal message in Czech, telling them what you can do. I see your level of English writing is a bit poor, but maybe the comprehension is good, and this is what is needed for translation.
To find their page you type https://www.viki.com/users/
and immediately after you add the username.
I know the following Czech moderators, but some of them might be inactive, so check when was their last contribution.
