This might come off as ranting a little bit but… is something that has been bothering me a lot lately.
I have been actively looking for projects at the finder to help on as a Spanish subber and I very rarely get a response. understand some of those teams may already be complete and thats find but… is it too hard to say : sorry we’re full? We are all volunteers here so it doesnt hurt to be polite to each other.
But then I come to the discussion panel and I see projects that are looking for subbers when applicants are not being answered which makes no sense I think…
I wonder if there are more subbers that feel like me and if there is something we should be doing better…
I love subbing really so I’ll take whatever projects that will have me

The project finder has recently undergone some changes and we now don’t get notifications anymore if someone applies so the CM/moderator might not even be aware of your message.
The best you can try is sending a message directly to the Spanish moderator. Do it in Spanish so that they can already see some of your Spanish skills.

And even if you write directly to the Spanish moderator they don’t respond I have applied for several projects since May but so far they haven’t even said No or there are no free places for subs.
As Tania says, it’s not going to hurt or make us feel bad, we just need an answer, even a short one, so we don’t keep waiting.

I don’t think you’ve sent me a message to be in one of my teams, but If you do and you didn’t get a repply for me I’m sorry, sometimes I lost them when I receive several messages in the same day. In my case, you can always send me a little reminder.
But keep in mind my user, when is a big drama I try to add all the subbers who send me an application.
Ahora no tengo proyectos nuevos, pero si me ves en uno, envíame mensaje.

Hola! ya que recuerdo, yo envíe solicitud para el proyecto de hombre a hombre pero no me respondieron, así que borre la solcitud de mi bandeja.

Hahaha yo tambien aplique a ese… tengo como 6 que no me han respondido pero si ves ya no te llega a la bandeja la conver con el mod, es de viki community y ni siquiera puedes responder entonces realmente ya no puedes dar seguimiento a menos de que estemos buscando drama por drama quien es el moderador y estar mandando mensajes privados
Por eso me ha gustado mucho trabajar con Gen, Thali, Naye y Mary haha pero pues para subir de nivel al final necesitas mas proyectos

I do get that sometimes mods can be overwhelmed but i have aplications I sent months ago, the deamas are still not 100% spanish subbed and no response… I’m like… i can help, I swear

Which I intend to do but even like that I been ignored by mods before haha
Also don’t you agree that it definitely defeats the purpose of the project finder?

En ese de hombre a Hombre no soy moderadora de español, yo soy CM. ¿Lo enviaste desde el project finder? Para ese debes mandarle mensaje a dafne88.

Claro que sí, en el siguiente proyecto nuevo que tenga te agregaré. Hace días apenas me dijo un amigo moderador de la actualización del project, eso está muy raro, si mandan aplicaciones desde ahí, no muchas les responderán, si me mandan un mensaje normal con mucho gusto les responderé.
¿Pero en Man to man le mandaron a Dafne88? Voy a decirle que revise eso, porque creo que ella no tiene idea de la solicitud, como dice Mirjam, de esos no llegan notificaciones y algunos no se enteran de la solicitud, yo como CM no puedo aceptar subbers de los demás idiomas.

No me acuerdo si iba a ella o a Tess pero si Daphne es la mod entonces fue con ella jeje son de los dos nombres que recuerdo que tengo solicitudes enviadas sin respuesta porque borre las notificaciones 
Voy a voy a decirle a daf de eso. A Catalina ya la vi y sí está en uno de mis equipos, mi compañero Ángel la agregó, él fue el que me dijo de los cambios del project.
Solo he trabajado con Thalia, Carmen y Mary. a mi parecer son muy buenas moderadoras ya que me han sacado de dudas en segundos, además de las compañeras que también subtitulan 
Espero que podamos trabajar en un proyecto juntas Tania.

No del proyecto, del project finder. Pero tú sí estás en uno de mis equipos, el de My School President. Angel fue el que me comentó de esos cambios, incluso él te agregó al equipo. Entonces, en ese caso sí te respondimos. Del otro de Man to Man yo no puedo agregarte porque soy CM, por eso te recomiendo que esperes a mandar solicitudes en el Project finder cuando ya haya Moderadora asignada.

Mi Tania, siento mucho que tengas una situación como esta. Como dijo Mirjam el project finder tuvo una tremenda actualización so ahora ni siquiera recibimos la notificación. Siempre trata de enviarle un mensaje personal a la mod. Ahora, en cuanto a lo de no recibir respuestas… A veces la Mod no ve la aplicación, ya que la mayoría de las veces recibimos demasiados mensajes. Mi consejo (y lo que le digo a todas las que trabajan conmigo) si no respondo el mensaje vuelve a enviarme un mensaje y si tienes mi W.h.atsApp o T.e.legram mucho mejor. Pero ya sabes, cuando tenga un proyecto nuevo estas en el equipo. Trabajas muy bien.
My Tania, I am so sorry you are having a situation like this. As Mirjam said the project finder had a major update so now we don’t even get the notification. Always try to send a PM to the moderator. Now, as far as not getting responses… Sometimes the moderator doesn’t see the message, since most of the time we get too many messages. My advice (and what I tell everyone I work with) if I don’t respond to the PM, send me another text. If you have my W.hatsApp or T.elegram even better, just text me through there. When I get a new project, you’re on the team. You work very well.
